stayed for one night .room was large and clean with all amenities.buffet was good lots of food variety there. There is only one problem that  staff was not fluent in English.They gave me adopter for mobile charging on deposit of $20.its not look for custom's hospitality any way they return it back my $20 after gave back adopter.But due to English problem i need to argue around 15 min to take my $ back.

A excellent Hotel

Generally it’s clean . I brought my own soap , shampoo creams . They have soap dispensers and shampoo , and conditioner. What’s in it ? As I said you get what you pay for . The breakfast isn’t worth it . There are lots of cafes in the area , google .There is a shisha cafe around the corner with great food , and an outlet store for high end brands . The employees are very nice and helpful .

You get what you pay for

We stayed here for 2 nights. It's a nice property in the city center, nice breakfast and an all weather swimming pool. Had a nice time here. They allowed us to make an early check-in, the rooms were spacious

Hotel Shera inn stay

Stayed for one night at the Shera Inn Hotel courtesy of an Air Astana $1 stopover. No complaints - large and comfortable room, wifi worked, bathroom well stocked and breakfast buffet was good. The staff spoke good English. The hotel was a short walk away from a fantastic Turkish restaurant (Bereket). The hotel did have bars but they looked pretty soulless.

Comfortable international standard hotel

Stayed here for one night after a trail race (3 days in a yurt with no showers) so I was predisposed to loving anywhere with hot running water.  But even so, this place is very nice - a good lobby with a bar, large rooms, nice bathrooms.  Everything you'd expect from a mid-priced hotel in Almaty.

Good quality hotel

I stayed in Shera Inn for business in February. Overall I had a good experience with the hotel, especially that both reception and bellboys were very nice. Breakfast is good and there is a big variety of choice of food. The view from the room is gorgeous to the mountains. Only negative thing overall is about the equipment of the room: there really should be iron and water boiler - although these are provided once asked. 

Pleasant stay, kind staff, lack of equipment 

Nice hotel with very big rooms.... but no hot water kettle in the rooms... only available on demand..!!! Government is directly supplying the hot water r to the hotels and houses and which was under maintenance on the very fisrt day of our stay so no hot water in bathrooms in Almaty...NIGHTMARE.!!!!! Food was good , location is ok ok taxis available round the clock , ambience is good.

Favourite hotel of Indians

Recently returned to Almaty and I was booked into this hotel as the one I had requested was full. Stayed two nights on two different occasions.
The hotel itself looks modern and upmarket however it wasn't. 
Bed was comfortable enough but only one soft non supportive pillow per person supplied. Checked the room but no others available. Bed linen looked clean enough until I pulled the quilt up and spotted a small blood stain on top of the quilt so turned it around the other way. Not good for a hotel of this standard. No tea or coffee facilities in the room however they are apparently available on request
Breakfast the next day was a buffet however even at 8.00 am some of the food was already cold.    
While i was at work my wife called and tried to order some room service for lunch where she was informed no restaurant no English so that was that. Good thing Dostyk plaza was close so she took a cab down there. 
Location of the hotel is good and the staff were good though not all speak English which is not their issue after all we are visiting there country.      
All in all I would not stay at the hotel again there are better value hotels available in similar locations for the same price or less.

Better hotels available in Almaty for this price

We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of January. The staff are all very polite and helpful and the hotel and rooms are very clean. 
The breakfast is ordinary and the rooms are so hot with no way of turning down the temperature and no opening window in the room. It was not possible to get a good nights sleep at all. 

Clean hotel 

My wife and I booked the Shera Inn through the MySTOPOVER promotion, for a very reasonable price, including transfer from the airport. The hotel itself was very mediocre and if the MySTOPOVER program is intended to put a positive spin on tourism in Kazakhstan, they would be advised to provide better hotel options. The location of the hotel is not convenient to any attractions, shops or restaurants; there are just a few small shops and a money changer across the street. The room we had was clean, but the bed was too soft, they initially only provided one set of towels (for two people), and there were no hangers! The room had a TV and mini fridge, but no water kettle for hot water and no tea or coffee provided. On the positive side, the shower was very good.  The staff were rather unenthusiastic, uncaring, and mechanical (e.g., there was no follow-up to our request for a second set of towels even though we were assured they would be provided).
