Words cannot express enough how thankful I am for this experience. What an incredible place with warm-hearted and generous people! I got to volunteer in the camp only for a few days, but I have to say that it was a life-changing experience! Rumshines' owner, Khaled, welcomed me at the Rum Village, and took me to the campsite where I got to see one of the most mesmerizing landscapes I have ever seen in my life. 

Even though the stay was quite short, I have learnt so much about Bedouin culture, and I'm very grateful for their incredible hospitality. The delicious meals prepared in traditional ways will be one of the many things I will never forget for the rest of my life, along with the beautiful sky at night, the camels, those gorgeous mountains, and so many inspiring conversations I had with Khaled and his brothers. 

There is one thing that I remember from one of those conversations, "It is so important for us to take care of the land." This has been stuck in my head ever since! If you ever travel to Wadi Rum, please don't hesitate to stay at Rumshines! You won't regret it for a second, I promise!

Volunteer at Rumshines Camp

This was the best part from our 11 days Jordan trip! We stayed for four nights in this camp and we spent great time there thanks to the nice hospitality and perfect organization from the host Khaled and his team.  The food was fresh and delitious, and everyday we had a "picknic" in the desert with feresh cooced dish + salad + desсert, all made on "the field" from these guys,  until we were climbing a dune or a peak. Last but not least - the camp was the best place for accomodation, compared to the hotels we stayed previous days.

I wish to  visit this place again!

One of My favorite from the the whole Jordan trip. Great hospitality from the team, delicious food, tasty tea and a lot of experiences on the next day - trip into the dessert with few stops, picnic, camel ride.

Great experience! 

Our stay in Rumshines Camp was quite perfect. The enviroment, the silence, the amazing colours of the desert capture your soul. Apart from this, Khaled and his staff do their best, always smiling. They are professional,  kind, they take care of guests. Food Is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Not to miss! 

Wonderful stay in Rumshines Camp - Wadi Rum 

We spend 4 nights in the camp of Rumshines in Wadi Rum Protected Area, Jordan. 
The camp is very well organized and hosted. Clean!
The food is delicious and always fresh-made.
I warmly recommend Rumshines Camp and the tours organized by our host Khaled & his team - the trekking and hiking tours are excellent; so are the jeep tours, camel tours, etc.
Just go there and enjoy - Rumshines will take care of everything!


Rumshines in Wadi Rum Protected Area, Jordan

We had a wonderful stay at Rumshines! The camp is located at a perfect spot with the possibility to climb the hill for sunset. Our Guide Hammed made us feel like home and help with everything we needed. Thanks again for an amazing experience!

Best spot and amazing crew

This was my first time in the Wadi Rum desert and it will definitely not be the last - hopefully :) Absolutely thrilling and incredible experience that gonna stay in my heart and soul. Unforgettable silence, colors, views and horizons.

The Rumshines team makes the experience especially special with their warm hospitality, great food prepared in a typical Bedouin style, dances around the campfire and serenity with a cup of tea in hand.

The location is fantastic - from the mountain behind the camp you can watch a stunning sunset, as well as a fabulous sunrise from the nearby dunes. I enjoyed a lot of an extraordinary views and places during the jeep tour, with a relaxing lunch break. In the afternoon, the wind made the view even more sureal. No photo can represent that feeling you sense here.

Magnificent and magical experience

My wife and I, and a couple of friends spent a whole day in wadi rum, at Rumshines camp. Everyrhing was amazing. Reservation process was easy. At 10 am we gathered with our guide 6 km after the wadi rum village and left our car in a private parking. We picked up our backpack for the day and get in theback side of the  toyota and started our trip thru the dessert. We went to different spots, always doing exercise, sometimes hard. it all depends on what you want to do, we went thru canyons, rock formationes, giant red dunes until we stopped in an isolated place to have a great lunch (we even had hot dishes). Finallly we arrived at the camp around 5, unpacked in very neat and comfortable tent, took a hot shower, the bathroom was in perfect state (I have to say we were the only 4 people in the camp), and then went up to the top of a rock formation stuck to the camp to see a perect sunset. After that we had a perfect dinner, chicken cooked in the earth, many different salads, good dessert and after that hot tea and  dates beneath the bonfire and in company of thounsand stars and a couple of  "lost" camels walkin around the tents. It was a perfect evening. As our guide told us, We slept like babies, had breakfast at 7,30 and went back to pick our car at 8am

great expeience at rumshines camp

You arrive in this place out of time in an infinite space, where you start walking and feel all the strength and beauty of the purest nature, inside and outside you.The Bedunins of the camp welcome you with their privacy and kindness and their simple and healthy food.They take you to the most beautiful places where there are still traces of prehistoric humans in areas sacred to them to see inscriptions on the stone in narrow valleys where springs flowed.

Mystical desert

l booked 2 nights 3 days in Wadi Rum with Rumshines camp. It was a great experience and  really l enjoyed the tours. On the first day l did a jeep tour, and in the second day l did hiking tour to the biggest rock bridge. And on the third day, l tried a camel tour, and it was a lot of fun. Everything was great. l ate amazing food, the dinner was cooked under the ground. The location of the camp was in the sunset area, from where you can see the different colors between the red and white sands.
