Pleasant staff at front desk.
Great buffet breakfast choices.

Decent room size for single traveller.
Toiletteries smell wonderful.
Small toilet size. 

Nice tv selection. 

Hotel location is good. Easy access to public transportation. Only 5 minutes walk to Utsunomiya Grans Station and surrounding malls

We had a twin room which was much larger than our friends' double room. Free breakfast (lots of choice) was included, staff were very helpful and an easy walk to rail station for buses to MotoGP. Room was clean and all amenities. We enjoyed this hotel! Restaurants nearby, or just buy convenience foods at nearby 7/11's or supermarkets and reheat in microwave in lobby downstairs.

Good hotel with great surroundings

A large room used as a base for MotoGP 2014

Very basic and small as most hotels are in Japan. It is definitely not new, my guess its like the hotels in the states that started off like a brand new Holiday Inn then changes hands as gets older to the lower quality hotel.

The breakfast selection were good with american style but not heated very much. The scrambled eggs sausage (chicken), were barely warm.

Business stay Utsunomiya

This hotel was fine--the single room was the largest of the three hotels in which I stayed on this trip--but the smoke that came in the room was almost unbearable.  I was part of a group and others experienced the same thing.  I'm not exactly sure if it was leftover from previous occupants of the room or if it was the fault of the ventilation system, but if you're sensitive to smoke, you might need to look elsewhere.

That said, everything else was wonderful.  As I said the room was a good size and even included a dresser, small couch and table.  Breakfasts were good, the reception I attended in the hotel was also good.  I would consider staying there again if I could be assured a smokeless room.

Get a no-smoking room!

This hotel has seen much better days - the room was with a pseudo window 20cm away from a outside wall and must have been a smoking room for many years. This carpet is still the original one - probably older than 60years....
The breakfast was very nice and the friendly staff speaks English. I will not visit this hotel again.
