The hotel is very conveniently located at the Maihama JR station, also next to the Disney Resort Welcome Center. There is also Ikspiari nearby, and convenience stores, coffee shops and restaurant. Monorail is also easily accessible.

Check in is using a self service kiosk, and the hotel staff was very kind to help us using it. Breakfast is buffet style at saizeriya restaurant near the hotel, and the buffet breakfast was very good. Other than these, I feel the service is minimal at the hotel.

I made reservation online, but I guess I didn't enter my reservation in the most favorable way (to me) which made my room charge so high (over 72,000 yen, which is almost the price of the luxury hotels of disneyland for the same day). In the hotel website, I did select 2 adults + 2 little children + 1 infant without the need of bed, but the printout from the kiosk seems to have 4 adult meal vouchers. It was a bit difficult to talk with the hotel staff in English (although they are nice), and I didn't find out whether I entered my reservation correctly. But if you book a room there, please note the room charge varies with the number of people or adults, and the way you enter the info could affect the price a lot.

The room was very clean. There is separate tub and shower area like other Japanese hotels which I like very much. There are 3 beds plus a smaller bed - I think all, or most if not all, rooms have this arrangement as I looked into the room as I walked by them during the checkout time. The beds can be moved (e.g. 2 beds putting together to form a larger bed). Good enough for our family of 5.

While the beds are sufficient (for our family of 5), the room is a bit small to put luggage or to have a meal (small table / limited space).

Check out was smooth. After checking out, we went to the very close Disney Resort Welcome Center to buy park tickets, and give our luggage there so the center helps deliver to our next hotel (Toy Story Hotel).

I will consider this hotel again, if I don't need the happy entry for disney (e.g. if I played in tokyo disneyland the night before but going to somewhere else the next day).

Very convenient

The room was spacious and had all of the amenities we needed. The renovations were nicely done. The location is very convenient to the train station, Disney monorail, and Ikspiari.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Room was large compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Japan. Location was perfect - 5min walk to Disneyland and 2min walk to disney train to get to Disney Sea.

One of the things I love about Japan is how clean everything is. The Dreamgate was within walking distance to Disneyland. It was close to great dining. The whole experience was amazing. Met expectations and then some.

Very convenient for everyone who want to visit Tokyo Disneyland or Disneysea, the location are under the Maihama Train Station but not any noises from outside came in the room, it suitable for family too.

Very good for visit Tokyo Disney 

This hotel is good if you want just the basics. However, if you are looking for something more comfortable then this hotel ain’t it.

Small old fashioned hotel. No frills.

Really good and clean hotel in Disneyland area. Conviniently located just in the JR station, so you can go everywhere really easy. A lot of dinning and shopping options in Ikspiari. You can walk to Disneyland park or take the train to Disneysea Park.

Just in the JR station

The location is very convenient. Only 3 mins walk to Tokyo Disney Land. Right by JR Maihama station and Ikspiari Mall. The airport shuttle is located outside Disney Land together with other buses. We booked a triple room for 3 of us, the room size is quite good if you think of Japanese standard. The bath and restroom is seperated, which is great! The breakfast is just OK, not so many choices. The cleanliness is very good.

One of the best choices to visit Disney Land.

This is the perfect hotel to stay in if you are visiting Disney. It is a 5 minute walk to Land and 5 minute monorail ride to Sea and only steps away from JR Maihama train station. You can opt for breakfast, which is all you can eat. There is a convenience store near the lobby and a shopping mall 1 minute away. The only draw back is that you can hear the trains in the morning so if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in that may be difficult. However if your purpose is to see Disneyland then it doesn't really matter. Loved it for the convenience!

Excellent location

When I started looking for a hotel to stay near Tokyo Disneyland, I couldn't understand why foreigners didn't consider Hotel Dreamgate since location wise, it is really close to Tokyo Disneyland AND wonderfully located beside the train station which provides easy transportation to downtown Tokyo (Tokyo Station is just 6 train stops away)

Benefits of Hotel Dreamgate:
1) There's a coin laundrymat which made laundry a breeze for my family!
2) The hotel is just beside Ikspiari- a shopping mall which means my husband & I could do some retail therapy in the night when my son was asleep!
3) The hotel is just beside a number of eating joints- that means breakfast(Beckers is open at 6am) and other meals are easily available. 
4) The bathroom is great - it is the tradition Japanese bath where the shower and bath tub are separate; and there's a small stool beside the shower for us adults to sit for a more comfortable shower- I enjoyed sitting whilst taking a hot shower as the stool provided respite for my aching legs after a whole day of walking at Disneyland!
5) There's a small kids play area with some japanese books, a rocking horse and slides for toddlers to play
6) Walking distance from the bus bay where the airport limousine bus stops and departs for Narita/Haneda Airport
7) There is a mail delivery service at the hotel- you can mail (boxes and tape provided at a minimal charge) your bulky items from the hotel- I bought an empty box to pack all my goodies/souvenirs for easy transportation to the airport

My recommendation to the hotel management for improvements:
1) Your staff are very service oriented (which is a compliment) -they just need to have a better grasp of the English language
2) Kids play area- something to consider- why not include an inflatable bouncy since there is a high ceiling at the play area? Older children would love this!
3) Dual Language TV- would be great if the TV could come in a dual language mode- I was watching Indiana Jones (my favourite) but it couldn't be in english language mode
4) Family rooms- perhaps can consider having children's bunk beds for better utilisation of space in the room?
5) Electrical outlet near the beds- perhaps can consider having electrical outlets near the beds for easy phone recharging?
6) Pillows- Needs to be firmer for head support as it was a bit soft
