Mimaru Tokyo Ikebukuro

We stayed here for 4 nights at the start of our japan holiday in a city view two bedroom suite, this was on the top (14th floor). The room came with a washer dryer which was fantastic as we have a 4 year old who goes through a lot of clothes. The room was spacious and the hotel was quiet, we didn't experience any road or outside noise. There are shops and restaurants very close and the station was only a short walk as well. Apparently the hotel is in a red light area but we didn't notice this although it could have been more obvious late at night. The only points to note are that the bedrooms were only slightly larger than the two beds so slightly cramped (although the large sitting area made up for this), they get fairly hot quite quickly (but have air conditioners so remember to turn them on before going to sleep) and the partition between the two bedrooms was thin so we had to be careful not to put the TV on too loud. One thing we really appreciated after a 14 hour flight was the opportunity to check in early for a small fee, this is not something many Japanese hotels seem to offer but made our arrival significantly better as we were able to have a wash before going out.
