Sonw season is coming!❄️⛄️🏂 Last snow ss was at Niseko.
After comparing among decades of accommodation around Niseko, I made the reservation with Gurigura Guesthouse. Honestly, it’s the best guesthouse I have stayed. The breakfast and dinner they provided are incredibly amazing!!! Very delicious homemade dishes with fresh vegetables and lovely presentation! And the view looked from their big window in the living room is so refreshing every morning!

Best guesthouse ever!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Without doubt, グリグラguri-gura is one of the favourite guest house I stayed during many times in Japan. 
Very nice house with very clean and wonderful rooms, with a lovely garden, located in the peaceful and calm area near by Hirafu SKI area.
The owner, Esashi San was a very helpful host and picked me up in Kutchan station on time during the heavy snowing day. Upon arrival, I feel very warm as the family was extremely friendly. The dinner & breakfast was enjoyable & delicious. 

After the dinner, he gave me all the details I needed to explore the sightseeings in Niseko. Although it can’t use the bathroom during the winter , but it was not a big deal as the nearby have a very nice onsen and he can drive you to the onsen if you want.

The next day, he  drove me to Hirafu Ski area and even borrow his wife’s shoes , ski’s jacket to me! After enjoyed the snow activities, his wife took me back to the guest house. I enjoyed to chat with this lovely family and never forgot the great hospitality.

Great hospitality , amazing host !

I skiing niseko and have chosen stay here is that for women have breakfast and dinner, healthy  free shuttle to onsen with complimentary free shuttle to ski and complimentary pick up me at kutchan station and what makes my impression is the owner homes pick me the day I lost, and can not find the taxi back the property thanks for the help me if I travel niseko i will return to stay here :)

One of the happiest trips in my life

The host is a very controlling male in a all female guest house. He is very strict and gets angry if you do not adhere to his very specific rules and time table. He told us in email before we booked that we were allowed out at night if we got a taxi home before 10.30 pm as bed time is strictly at 11.00 pm but then sent a very angry email the one night a friend picked us up to go to a hot spring and dinner and brought us home by 8.30. He expects you to sit and talk to other guests even though at times we were the only English speaking people in the house and after a busy day on the slopes we wanted to rest with a movie and early night in our room but he did not deem that acceptable behaviour. Tension between us became very uncomfortable at times making us want to leave on many occasions but since we had booked for two weeks we couldn't. One afternoon he picked us up from the usual place at the mountain and a new guest was with us and she was having problems with the lockers so made us around 7 mins late, esashi became very agitated at this and did his usual domineering pacing which he did often when gathering the guests to make them hurry up to stick to his time schedule even though we were usually ready before his allotted time! When we got back to the guest house he was behind me coming in the door and he slammed it behind us and started shouting in my face, he said this is cheap guest house and proceeded to shout at me in Japanese, I asked what I had done wrong to make him so angry to which he could not answer me, the other guests were looking at us shocked and questioning what was happening and why he was so angry as no one understood, at this point I had had enough of his attitude and his out burst was uncalled for so we packed our bags and told him we were leaving, he apologised but it was too late. Because of this we ended up having to spend a lot of money to find new accommodation last minute for our last 4 nights. 
By all means go to his guest house if you are happy to pay to be controlled and unable to leave the house after he picks you up at at 16.15 the latest, there cutting your holiday time in half. 
Oh and the new accommodation allowed us to finally see Japan and what the resort had to offer so I thank him for forcing us to leave or we would have come home even more disappointed.
