It was cherry blossom time so this great city was quite busy and tricky to find accommodation at the last minute. I chanced upon this lovely bed and breakfast inn and was so happy with the selection. I really liked the location in a residential area and being so close to the park meant it was easy to head off for a stroll. I got up early and before breakfast went the the Todaji Temple and the northern part of Nara Park. It was magical and wonderful to experience the area before the crowds came in on tour buses. The breakfast was delicious and substantial, beds comfortable (with en suite),beautiful flower decorations and friendly hostess. Suggest taking taxi first up but after is easy to get to city centre and dining options by bus or walking. I too will recommend to family and friends.

Perfect little place out of the hustle and bustle. A 15min walk or 5 min cab ride from the center of Nara and a 5 min walk to Todaji makes this location perfect if you like peace and quiet. The staff are gracious and knowledgable, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Will be recommending to family and friends! 

The highlight of our trip to Nara, was our 5 night stay at Naraclub.  (This is very high praise, as Nara is one of the most exquisite cities in Japan.  The ancient capital is filled with amazing temples, shrines, treasure houses, pagodas, and three highlights, the Nara Museum’s Sculpture Hall, the treasure house adjacent to the 5 storied pagoda, and Todaji - an epic sized temple.)  Naraclub is one of the most charming inns we have ever stayed in.  It is owned and run by Mr. and Mrs. Tani, though Mrs. Tani takes primary responsibility.  Her breakfasts are a culinary dream: homemade jams, fresh baked rolls, elegant fruit sections, haute cuisine omelettes.  While she is truly a great chef, she is an even more gracious hostess, guiding you to wherever you would like to go.  The rooms were neat and clean, with comfortable twin beds, tea maker, hairdryer, private bathroom with shower.  There is an old world charm to Naraclub which had great appeal to my wife and I (as did the internet access).  Mrs. Tani, is also a great printmaker and some of her work decorates the inn.  Naraclub is quiet, located away from the crowds, but within easy walking distance of Todaji.  If you seek the loveliest inn with understated charm, book now, you will not be disappointed.

Small, Western-style hotel in a peaceful residential neighborhood a short walk from Todaiji and a 5-minute bus ride away from Kintetsu Nara station. Our twin room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - beautifully presented and freshly cooked with lots of vegetables and nice bread/pastries. A lovely place to stay, and also quite reasonably priced.

We stayed here for one night passing through Nara. It was a pleasant experience and would have liked to stay on longer if we had spent more time there.

 10-15 minute walk to Nara Deer Park. 
 3-5 minute walk to bus stop, 10-15 minute bis ride to town center. Any bus goes to the train station. 
-: 20-30 minute walk from the town center (i.e., Nara Station & JR Nara Station). A little bit troublesome if you have luggage.
