Common area is Japanese old house (100years) in 'Jokamachi(castel town)' of Hikone and the beds locate in a newly build house with view of Japanese garden. Then I enjoyed Japanese old calm feelings and slept well in comfortable and clean room. To get to this guesthouse, it is not easy. You are better to bring a enlarged printed map from Google or a printed guide with pictures from the website of this guesthouse.
