10 reviewsMy partner and I just spent a delightful two days in Hakodate, staying at the Henmi Ryokan! It is excellently located, not far by foot from the JR Train Station, the Morning Fish Market, and the Waterfront District that are among the biggest tourist attractions in Hakodate. The delightful owner greeted us warmly upon our arrival, and gave us a very spacious room on the second floor, with a large and comfortable sitting area and a separate sleeping area. The toilets and baths are shared, but are kept immaculately clean; we never had to wait to use any of the facilities. Breakfasts are included in the room rate, and are quite substantial; there are many options in town for dinner. Hakodate Henmi Ryokan is a wonderful, personal, friendly option to chain hotels, and I heartily recommend it!
