82 reviewsHotel Gallo Cedrone was an outstanding find on Expedia. It is approximately 30 minutes’ drive up a winding road, and we found out why upon arrival. We were at the base of Bormio 2000 ski lift and is apparently ski-in , ski-out in the wintertime. For hiking, it was a perfect location, with the hiking trail to Santa Catarina leaving at the driveway of the hotel where the road ends. The family room was perfect, with a queen bed and 2 bunk beds, clean, with a shower and mountain view. Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade cheese omelettes or fried eggs, cappuccinos or tea or hot chocolate (submarinos), homemade croissants, and jelly.
