147 reviewsWe booked last minute 2018 spend a week in Aug 2018 very high temperatures loved it so booked again Sept 2019, The hotel is honest 2 star situated ideally on Piazza Catullo in part of a historic building which was restored in 2011. 2 Star so No pool -- 143 square miles of freshwater lake to swim in. No big swanky dining room -- Hundreds of lakeside restaurants to chose from. No modern air con in a 14th century building -- Lake breeze and a fan. No fancy paintings on the walls -- Stunning lake view. The setting is fantastic all be it vibrant until gone midnight, early morning start hustle and bustle. Family run hotel Mama no English just smiles all the time, Daughter no English shy so comes over as rude, Son speaks English, German little French. Extremely good value for money, good continental breakfast choice of dinners or pay a supplement and go a la carte. If you want to sample a bit of true Italy this is the place.
