First, Federico was amazing. So helpful with us during our stay. That is reason enough to stay. But the rooms are fun and a welcome change from a hotel. Breakfast was fun each morning as our host made sure we were happy and well taken care of. Rooms are large and we had a kitchen available with our room as well. I cannot think of anything that could have been done to make the stay any better. Great host, location, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Great stay

We loved our stay in this beautiful small hotel. The owner, Federico, gave excellent tips for local restaurants, provided a lovely breakfast, and most exceptionally helped us find a local doctor and pharmacy when an unexpected medical need arose. His service was truly above and beyond.

Beautiful hotel, excellent host

My mother, sister, and I spent five nights in this beautifully restored 13th century house in the heart of Bevagna, feeling as if it were our own home. Federico welcomed us with glasses of local wine and appetizers of cheese, prosciutto, and bread while telling us all about the town and the region he loves. We so appreciated Federico's assistance every day, and he was especially gracious to my mother, who at 88 years old had her first experience of a small Umbrian village and was in complete awe of the town. 

Our rooms were lovely and comfortable, and each day began with delicious coffee and and an array of local pastries and breads, fruit, and yogurt. The house has a beautiful garden, too, although we couldn't spend time there because the May rains left it muddy. We were just steps from the wonderful medieval alleyways of the town, leading to a variety of restaurants, churches, and the famous Roman baths that are well worth a visit. 

A huge plus for us was that Bevagna is relatively flat, and parking for La Corte de' Vasari was only about a block away. This is not a place for people who are looking for a large shower or formal atmosphere; it is a place to live as local residents have lived for hundreds of years.

We have just visited this little hotel/b&b and have to give it top marks.
Frederico is an absolute star, who really makes staying here something special. Helpful is not the word- he made us a special breakfast and as there was a thunderstorm and we were supposed to be walking, he volunteered to take us to the Lunelli winery(well worth a visit).He wouldn't take any extra money for all this and was generally a delight. The room and indeed the whole place was decorated very tastefully and had a very calm and peaceful feeling.

La Corte di Vasari, Bevagna. Italy

What a fabulous place to stay and Federico is an excellent host. Bevagna is a beautiful old town largely unspoiled by tourism and development with narrow streets on one of which is situated La Corte. (I believe the name has something to do with ancient pottery trades.) The house is old, faces straight onto the street and has two doors at the front - a guest one leading straight to the stairs and a larger, stable type of door into the cosy lounge. Our room was on the second floor at the rear overlooking a small, enclosed garden. The stairs are a bit awkward and twisty so anyone with difficulties would need help getting luggage upstairs.Completely peaceful place. The room was large with a wooden ceiling and rafters. there were windows on three sides.  A four poster bed, wardrobes and a sofa. There is a TV in the room; internet is available downstairs. The bathroom was well appointed, although the shower cubicle was slightly awkward the actual shower was excellent.  
Breakfast is in the kitchen/diner downstairs at the rear and provided by Federico who cooked eggs with local ham and cheese.
Federico is a star - he is very welcoming and puts a lot of effort into providing a good service. He is also very knowledgeable about the local area and gave some excellent tips on where to go and the local produce.
Bevagna centre is a minutes walk through the narrow streets and is well worth a bit of your time to explore.
This is a smashing little B&B, one of the best and very much recommended.

Wonderful.

My sister and I stayed here 1 night on a walking holiday through Umbria. We were the only guests and Federico gave us each a fabulous room but was so accommodating with everything,he purchased and shared a bottle of wine with us in the quaint lounge area. The weather cold but the fire was warm and his company delightful. An absolute gentleman and the perfect host.
