This was our first B & B experience, and it was disappointing. The host was friendly enough but didn’t say much. Since we were newbies to the experience, it made it a little tough. The location is super far out from town center so it was not convenient for hanging out, especially if you don’t want to drive into town. Breakfast was delicious, so that was a plus and the room had a private bath. However, the shower wouldn’t work, and we didn’t feel like we could ask the host for help..

Disappointing

The B&B was in the middle of nowhere - literally in the countryside!  Our room was a good size but very minimal - bed and a chair, no desk.  The toilet - you need to wait for 15+ minutes for the tank to fill up with water, so we had to improvise and filled the tank manually!  Shower was tight and wasn’t draining properly so had to stop the water once in while to avoid flooding in the shower.  When we arrived, host told us that his wife is not there so there will be no breakfast and he gave us €20 for the both of us and advised if we can just get breakfast in town.  That was fine - we bought croissants, bananas and coffee in town and brought it back to the B&B… obviously wasn’t enough to buy us 2 Irish breakfasts… ended up to be just a B (no &B).

Room was very clean and spacious, the host was very accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful, the home overall was very comfortable. It was a bit disappointing to not have a kettle and tea in the room but otherwise very pleasant. Minutes to town with ample parking.

Convenient to town

Valley View is located close to Kinsale.  Off street parking is provided.  Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and adequate size.  We slept well.  An Irish breakfast and cereal/fruits/yogurts were offered. Nora will give information on the area if asked.  I recommend it.

Comfortable visit

Nora will bend over backwards to help you out, she is a true gem. The B&B is nice, comfortable and relaxing. Away from the bustle of the town, Valley-view is a quiet, but quite close to Kinsale town.
You will feel well taken care of at Valley-View.

Incredibly helpful hostess

We have stayed here on three different occasions and had a terrific time at each stay. The hostess was excellant and attended to all our needs. Very clean and comfortable. Close to town to walk and far enough away to be out of the city noise. Great breakfasts, your classic Irish breakfast served with hot tea. Very knowledgeable of the Kinsale area. Will stay there many more times. No pool or fitness center, just a quiet little B & B.

Loved The Place

Good but not very warm welcome (host was a bit shy I think). We didn't have any choice for the breakfast (only one type of cereals + Irish breakfast).
Nice and clean room. Nevertheless, we had a good stay.
