A nice hotel in the center of Galway .
The rooms are confortable and the beds too .
Maybe it needs some renovation but in general it's more than acceptable in my opinion .
Staff of front desk is nice and very helpfull .

Had dinner here on Saturday night – the menu's got everything, from a la carte to set options. Started with Caesar salad, and the chickpea curry for the main was just amazing! They nail those classic dishes. 

The servers were awesome, super friendly and attentive. The place has this classic vibe, all traditional but really clean and well-kept. We had a blast – they sure know how to do hospitality right!

Hospitality done right!

I had an awful experience trying to book with a voucher as the hotel would not honour their advertised 'pay in advance' rate. They claimed it was 'web only' even though it is not advertised as such. Room was somewhat jaded

Great staff and location but hotel needs to be refurbished and modernised. When we checked in, the first thing that struck me was the carpets were threadbare in the lobby/reception area.
When we went to our room, it was quite dated. The initial room we were given had no hot water in the shower but we were moved without hesitation.
I did ask whether the room we were moving to was a quiet room as this is what I had booked but we were placed beside an air conditioning unit. I was told there were no other rooms available.
The bed was pretty hard and room quite stuffy. 
The breakfast was lovely and no complaints there.
All staff were very friendly - porters, receptionists and bar staff. 
It was just disappointing that the rooms were so dated in terms of decor. I had stayed there about 13 years ago and nothing had changed. It’s a great hotel in a great location but needs some work done in terms of interiors.

Needs some modernisation

This hotel was disappointing. It was very rundown. The rooms were outdated and shabby. The curtains and valance were torn and water stained, the hairdryer was an antique, and the safe was busted. Also, there were no outlets to plug-in phone chargers and the wifi was super slow. Carpet in common areas was worn out. There was no hotel parking lot as advertised and we had to park in a municipal lot and got a small discount. The hotel location was good.

Stay somewhere else.

We are just back from a 2 night stay at this hotel. From the minute we arrived till the minute we left....it was flawless!! The staff were so helpful and paid so much attention to detail without being constantly in your face, Bruno, Ollie, Andrew & Agnieska (Agnes) in the bar and for bar food.  Caroline & Kitty at breakfast, John, Ciaran & 2 x Bernie's. Finally last but no means least the consistency of top quality food from the kitchen...PJ, Gearoid & Martin take a bow! Unbelievably top quality, tasty and always pipping hot...down to the toast for breakfast.  
Worth every cent and more to stay here, eat here and if you stay once you'll return time and time again. Best hotel we've stayed in by a country mile ...ever! Safe to say we will see ye real soon again...continued success to ye all.

Inexplicably excellent 👌 

We got to the hotel and the parking is a joke . The rude attendant told me in the rain to park anywhere while I was getting out my car hit the wall. He let on it did not happen!!
The restaurant was busy and the service was very good, I had steak it was small and very fatty. Garlic potatoes no taste and French fries were frozen not fresh. 
My wife had the scallops she ordered potatoes with the scallops, but it came with potatoes so two types of potatoes . And last the apple tart came out cold. Disappointed as it’s not cheap.

Dinner

Really great hotel in the middle of Galway, but just outside the Latin quarter so no late night revealers waking you up. Can walk to main shopping area from hotel. Parking is limited and very tight. Definitely rent a small car to make easy on yourself

Great stay!

I stayed here for one night based on all of the good reviews. It was a pleasant experience. The staff were lovely - especially the bar staff - so friendly and seemed so happy in their work. I had dinner in the bar and the food was delicious and a decent portion! I had the salmon. Breakfast was lovely. The dining room was nice and bright and the staff again were a total pleasure. When I checked in, the room smelled super strong of aftershave - I mentioned this to the receptionist who with no issue at all provided me another room. I was grateful for this. The rooms were large and clean and there was alot of hot water for a bath. Overall good experience and the location is excellent.

Great location, lovely food, lovely staff

An old-school, labyrinthian hotel near Eyre Square in Galway. Service is great, and you can't beat the location. Our stay was very comfortable, and the staff have been helpful in trying to return my wife's airpods (which we left in a nightstand).
