The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection

We got upgraded to the Westmoreland suite via SNA. The room was… it was great just different. It was like the haunted mansion in the elevator where you ascend and the windows get longer. It said city view, but you need to be at least 8 feet tall to see outside any windows. The tv in the living room wouldn’t connect to airplay, only the bedroom tv would. The bathroom was magnificent, and the soap and lotion smell incredible. The air conditioning was slow to work to if you like to sleep in the cold, be sure to leave it on 24/7. The mint bar was a cool spot too, but it sucked that they were out of various gins I wanted to try. Hassan the valet and Marcelo at check in were very helpful and kind also. The location is walking distance from everything. Heard very little outside noise considering the room was city view. If I had to nitpick and give a negative critique, I think it would be that the switches for lighting would hard to figure out. I couldn’t get the kettle to work for the in room tea, and not all the lights would turn on so the room lighting was somewhat dim at night. Also, there is a small gap when you close the bathroom doors so be mindful of that. Lastly, I opted for the buffet which turned out to be great. The signature tea is incredible. The food they had was better than average. If you care about where you stay, you should consider this hotel. It’s definitely the best option considering the other marriotts available.
