We are just back from a wonderful stay at Lough Lannagh Holiday Village.  A large group of us stayed in three of the cottages whilst attending my son's wedding.
The cottages are all very comfortable, well equipped and very spacious. They were all warm and welcoming to arrive into, and the batch of freshly made scones and tea and coffee awaiting us was a lovely touch, especially at this time of year.
We received a great welcome from the owners, who were on hand during our stay for any assistance we needed.
The location of the village is beautiful, set among trees on the shore of Lough Lannagh.  There is a path facilitating a short walk from the houses into Castlebar which has a great range of shops, restaurants and pubs. 
We will definitely stay here again when we are back visiting beautiful Mayo.

Highly reccommended.

Great caravan park, quiet with easy access to local amenities. Great for trips to west port, Achill and WAW. Super private bays, very clean toilet block and kitchen area, grey waste and taps located near bays. Will be back again. Loved it and recommend it. Easy access in and out with camper and has good security in and out. 

Great stay in Castlebar

Great location ,   Lovely cottage , area very quiet for been so close to town 
. swimming pool  next door and lovely park for a walk   . 2 playgrounds for children nearby 

Cottages are well equipment with all you want for your stay. Good WiFi which is great  for Netflix etc 

walking distance to Tf royal if show on during your stay and lots of shops nearby 

Very handy location for exploring Mayo - Sligo

Great location for family stay

Campervan stay on campsite. Excellent location on edge of Castlebar town. Lovely cycle and footpath into town centre via lake shore. Swimming pool and leisure centre right next door.  Very nice individual bays for each unit along a circular drive. Lots if trees, very green, very quiet. They give a reduced rate for solo campers which is much appreciated.  All facilities included. Showers hot, toilets, showers and kitchen area spotless. Coded entry doors. EHU on each pitch, water tap between each few pitches. Supermarkets, restaurants, etc all within about 5 mins by bike on scenic lakeside path, about 15 min walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lough Lannagh Village also has conference rooms, B&B and hostel.

Motorhome/ caravan site visit... Excellent

We visited Lough Lannagh having booked our caravan on to the site. On arrival everything was fine, checked in, got all
Instructions and then headed off to the caravan pitches. The site itself is pretty class with a walk down to Lake Lannagh which has a path all around it and it really is just a short walk into Castlebar town centre. The caravan site is very very quiet and peaceful. The pitches are all in the one area and are all like notches off a circular road. To be honest we have a 7.8m twin axle caravan and we tried to get into a number of the pitches but with no luck. The width of the road didn’t really allow us to get a good cut into a pitch. We then had to go the wrong way around the road and were then able to reverse into our pitch. There are a couple of issues with the pitches. Firstly the pitches are just  gravel and like a black mud and as we had a lot of rain in became very messy. We have dogs and we had to constantly wash their paws to prevent them being dirt into the van. Secondly there is no on pitch water supply or drain and to be honest in 2022 that is not a good thing. We are frequent caravanners since 2020 and this is the first time  we have encountered a site in Ireland that doesn’t have on pitch drains and water particularly when charging €32 per night. It’s not the best when you have to keep filling your water butt and empty the grey waste. It does become a chore. In addition the mens showers, although very clean, were not fully working and very infrequent. All this being said we enjoyed our time there, visiting family, although until the pitches are ‘modernised’ we won’t be rushing back

Visit to Lough Lannagh

Stayed here July fortnight for two nights in the caravan park on arrival was greated by a woman called Geraldine who had a fantastic personality and was very helpful and showed me all the local tourist attractions.

I asked what was the departure time I asked was it 11am (which in my opinion is far too early) she was very flexible and said does around 2 suite you which was great although we had all packed for 12.30 but there was no pressure.

We pulled in and every caravan has there own individual private area what a treat, the toilets were coded, disabled toilets with bath and separate showers with changing facilities also sinks for cleaning dishes all clean and tidy.

Then around the corner was a walking park with a lake which had different paths to go different directions, out door gym in different areas,  swimming pool, tennis area, football playing area all within the location also a cafe on site and you can also  rent out cottages on the complex

I just can't say enough about this place please support it and call for a visit and the staff Geraldine and Paul very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Caravan Park One Of The Best Sites In Ireland

Everything that mattered most at Lough Lannagh was wonderful during my recent trip.  I traveled with a group of adults and children from New York and met with family during the trip.  The welcome was warm, and the facility was spotlessly clean.  The accommodation was a really pleasant surprise - I had expected it to be more basic but the rooms we had were well above expectations for this type of venue.  Irish breakfast was top class.  A little fresh fruit, yogurt etc. also available which was very welcome.  Packed lunch for kids was balanced, and affordagle.  The location and surrounding facilities/amenities are ideal and offer lots to see and do.

Wonderful location for group and family visits.

I recently stayed at Lough Lannagh alongside my school for 2 nights. The facilities were perfect for our stay, and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The house we stayed in was very big and the beds were very comfortable. The food was very nice and the WIFI was also very strong. Perfect location as you are only a ten minute walk to Castlebar and also right beside a lake.

School Trip

As a student going on a school trip for 2 nights, I thought our stay at Lough Lanagh was thoroughly enjoyable! The houses were cosy, and we had everything we needed. The food was high standard and the customer service was also excellent. The water sports was great fun and the staff looked after us extremely well. I would highly recommend Lough Lanagh to anyone.

A pleasant centre idyllically set near a lovely lake.  It also has the benefit of a sports complex and swimming pool nearby. Lots of walking locally and the town is only a short distance away.  It's an ideal place for families to stay near to each other without having to share accommodation.  However there is plenty of room in the individual cottages for larger families.  Very clean and well-equipped (though coat hooks would have been helpful in our cottage!).  The bedrooms are spacious and each has a single and double bed.  Staff are very friendly and helpful.  Our welcome was warm but obviously restricted by Covid regulations. Not luxurious but ideal for our needs.
