We had a lovely (if impromptu) stay in Cahir.  Our hosts were charming and accommodating, the room comfortable, and the B&B located in the very center of town.  Breakfast was made to order and delicious.  Street parking was very easy and the city in general was easy to navigate.  If stopping for the night in Cahir, the Tinsley House is the perfect choice for stay.

Stayed here for one night before a friends wedding nearby. So friendly and welcoming, rooms are lovely and clean and the location is perfect for exploring the town. Great breakfast too! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. 

This is a great place to stay, right in the middle of Cahir town, lovely hosts Patsy & Liam,Spacious rooms very comfortable and a yummy full Irish for breakfast with lots more choices as well.
We arrived late evening and had no problem with being shown to our rooms in a great homely house with a great history which is connected with the town of Cahir.
I told Patsy that I had relations nearby who I hadn't seen for over 30 years and didn't know where they lived in the area but by breakfast time I was told that my cousin would be arriving in half an hour after Patsy had made enquiries and a phone call. Great, very helpful and unassuming people and when we returned from having a meal and before going to bed we had beeen supplied by Liam with a nice pot of tea and cake and biscuits in a upstairs living room which we were given to use. Well deserving of plaudits from other travellers that have had the pleasure to stay here.

My husband and I needed a place to stay for one night to break up the drive from the Wicklow mountains to Kenmare.  This B&B is in a perfect location.  Park your car and walk everywhere.   The castle, the swiss cottage (don't miss it), and taking a stroll by the river turned out to be a very nice day.  The B&B has an old world charm and the owner, Liam, was a wonderful host.  Our room had every accessory needed, it was clean, and beautifully decorated.  Great breakfast.  I highly recommend Tinsley House.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my sister while on a short holiday to catch up with family. The owners Liam & Patsy were lovely and very helpful. Rooms were in keeping with the old style building and were  spacious with very comfortable bed. Bathroom was biggest I’ve  ever seen in a B&B with toiletries supplied which is unusual these days!  Unfortunately they don’t do breakfast now which seems to be a thing all over Ireland since Covid. However there is a small room available stocked with a fridge, milk and dishes where you can sit down having made yourself  a cuppa and there were scones, butter and jams supplied.  As the B&B is very central in the town, being situated in the towns square there are lots of good eateries all around so you won’t go hungry 😋. 
The town itself is lovely with lots of nice walks and historic buildings to keep you occupied. It’s a very clean town and definitely worth a visit. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

Perfect Location

Perfect spot!

If you are a working person and need accomadation.dont go here.My husband knocked on the door yesterday to be told no vacancy(very rudely)i went online and booked a room.when he went to the property the owners were not very nice.this morning the breakfast was good but on checking out my husband was spoke to very rudely and told they don't accomadate working people as they wreck the place.plus dont take cards only cash.the man was very agressive..i think it's a very rude and negative approach to have with people and they need to not tar everyone with the same brush.would defenitley not return .they should also state on site they don't allow people who have to travel thru work 😤😡
