I had an amazing experience at Zen Bali. The property is absolutely gorgeous; the flowers, the smells, the sounds of nature, all completely captivating. The villa was open airy and very clean. The spa treatments all had such a well rounded feel. All of the special touches really go along way. So many unique treatments and the therapists provide great care. The staff was very courteous and did everything to make my stay special. This place is a real gem. Very good energy and fully relaxing environment. I will be back!

Slice of heaven

Originally I had planned to go to for the standard Bali yoga retreat for some R&R but at the last minute checked to see if I could also do some diving and found this gem of a place.  For those diving, there is an opportunity to join the early morning meditation  (a lot more dynamic and energetic than I had expected) and yoga. This sets you up for the days diving having stretched your body, practiced meditative breathing and relaxation techniques. I had just arrived having dives in Raja Ampat and had not expected from the diving in Bali but some of the dive sites were extremely impressive - in particular the wreck dives and the muck diving where we saw mamy amazing creatures includimg mimic octopus, pygmy pipe fish and sea horses.  Evening yoga is also aimed at stretching and breathing techniques- all good for calm and relaxed diving.  However the most amazing part of Zen is the quality and variety of massages and therapeutic treatments  available - I 've come away feeling stretched, pampered, relaxed and soothed. I became so much more supple and bendy in just a week it was incredible!  Other top features include the wonderful food which is beautifully flavoured and well presented with options for those wanting a health kick but also options for those who do not.  Everyone who works at Zen is so attentive and kind, full of fun and wonderful smiles.  I was very privileged to be at the resort when a party was organised for the guests with both staff members and their children performing - it was such a joyful evening full of laughter and great humour.  Thank you Mahendra and the team for making such a special place and giving me a wonderful experience of Bali and Balinese hospitality.


Diving, meditation, yoga and best massage in town

My stay at Zen Resort was unforgettable. Mahendra and every member of the Zen team was so kind and helpful, and the yoga/meditation and treatments were genuinely focused on our wellbeing and unlike anything I've ever experienced. From the beautiful gardens to the restorative treatments, the warmth and tranquility of Zen Resort makes it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. I had a truly healing and unforgettable stay here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a restorative and healing trip.

A truly restorative stay

In the car on the airport return, the warmth of Zen Resort Bali grew again in my heart, and tears came out once more. My one-week stay here made such a significant difference in my life that is beyond what words can describe. I came for a stress release program, but arrived on Day 1 late afternoon with bad food poisoning from the plane. Miraculously, with Dr Deepu and other Zen staff’s meticulous care, early next morning I was already feeling full recovery, and this was only the start of wonders of my next seven days of holistic wellness program. 

I don’t want to recount on the programs that I followed through in Zen. Offering wellness programs perhaps is something that every business can quickly pick up eventually, and many travelers have already commented on how beautiful the resort is, but Zen Resort grows on you in a very very special way — There is a beautiful SOUL in everything Zen offers, and this SOUL weaves all things together. From the genuine smiles of EVERY staff in Zen, the creative towel design on your bed that brings beams on your face every day, the dosha powders customized to individual’s body needs at the restaurant, the food and its presentation that never failed the high standards even if you are the only guest having late lunch, professionally trained table serving manners that not every resort would teach and persist in doing but they do, to the beautiful petal patterns on your bedroom floor created only for you, and, not to mention the spa ladies’ genuine touch, every stroke is utterly sensational and filled with love. Adani, I don’t know how you did that, but every time you gave me massage, I felt you were GIVING so much to me, the love and the energy, I guess that’s why I cried so much during these sessions...there’re too much details in this place that genuinely and meticulously whisper love and care, all the time. Every staff calls your name, every staff knows your needs, changes to your sessions, and personalized adaptation. No hassles or worries, all you need to do is to relax and receive the positive energy and generous love from Zen. I opened my heart and emotions that were hidden for years, to a group of beautiful people that I barely know for hours, and it’s all so natural, I say this place has some magical energy to heal... 

It’s also this aura in Zen that touches the guests. Zen became our talking points, which triggered more things in common to exchange and connect. We may be nice guests to start, but Zen, you created an ambience that facilitates guests to spread our love further on to each other so we feel completely at home.

Meditation, yoga, lifestyle perspectives, Ayurveda treatments - no doubt Zen deals with inner balance, wellness at body, mind and soul. BUT, what can’t be copied elsewhere is the fundamental love that is so genuinely humane, pure innocence that’s hardly tarnished by modernity and materialism in the world most of us live in. I loved the concept of Zen Resort, but even more, I loved every bit how the concept is implemented into practice so it’s not just a concept on paper, it’s deeply felt, captivating the heart, profoundly emotional and words description doesn’t do its justice.

Finally, to the owner Mahendra, I can never thank you enough. You are the SOUL of Zen Resort. You made my stay an extraordinary and meaningful one. I understand why Zen Resort is so meticulous, because you are precisely so, and your love to human kind and dedication to sustainability is moving the world around you. That is the cornerstone of Zen Resort. Thank you for everything Mahendra. You offered me a life changing week and enabled me to connect with my inner self, it wouldn’t have been so wonderful without you! I came out calmer, happier, and stronger at heart. How can I not return to you and Zen family again?



The magical land to return for 

It has been three months now since I visited Zen Resort and I have left myself time to write a review. I wanted to see how I feel about this place after the magical time I spent there has settled and after I returned back into the daily routine. This is what I can tell: not only am I still in touch with the wonderful people I met there but the memory, feeling and consciousness about what I experienced at Zen is still so vivid and present that I can say with certainty, that this place has done something wonderful, something unforgettable to me. The spirituality, the openness, the great talks, the energy, the beautiful oasis, the meditation and yoga sessions, the heavenly treatments, the prayers, the peace, the surrounding, the flowers, the ceremonies ... I could go on and on...  Thank you, Mahendra and Zen family, for this extraordinary miraculous two weeks I got to spend with you. Sending lots of love from Switzerland. Namaste 🙏

Miraculous 

One of the most profound experience I have had. The Zen Open Chakra Balancing Massage put everything back into balance for me. Everything has changed for me since this experience, my mind and body feel connected. Feel at peace and have the strength again.

Profoundly Empowering 

From the moment you arrive at Zen you feel different , calm and content. Zen will take away your stress and release you of tension from the past. Learning how to breath deeply and exhale in the most beautiful surrounds. 
This place is special and my second visit to Zen was even more special than the last. The treatments are heavenly and are designed to heal. The ladies of the spa are angels sent from heaven. I have had massages all over the world and the Zen treatments are top class. The beautiful staff will look after you every step of the way. The food is excellent and the diving as well. I was lucky enough to see 3 turtles and a pigmy seahorse and so much more. Thanks to Gede my excellent Dive master.

My advice is go to Zen for a transformation its special. 

An oasis for mind, body and spirit

When reaching the resort, you feel like world is completely changing. The resort has a very nice garden, it's very quiet and all staff welcomes you very friendly with a bunch of flowers. You get a first impression of the philosophy of the resort and this let's you feeling like you just had a check in heaven.

The room is big and a bundle of very nice flowers welcomed me in there. Soon after my arrival I enjoyed a first treatment as well as a relax able flower bath. n
The treatments are of highest quality and never had similar in Europa. The therapist are well educated and their English is good. 

For lunch, you can choose your menu if you want to eat vegetarian, fish or chicken. All is freshly cooked and it was delicious.  If you want, you also get a glass of wine or a chocolate dessert if you like. This is just one of many points in ZEN which are important for your soul.

On a next day had the doctor’s visit and had a very good talk regarding the reasons why I came to zen and as well about the goals of my therapies. After this, my treatment plan was done and I could finally start my program.

“Reduce your life to the max” was in fact the summary of the next few days. Starting the day in the early morning with some meditation, go forward to yoga, breakfast, treatment, having a nap, lunch, lot of free time in the afternoon, then some sunset yoga and go back for dinner. In fact, a perfect program to slow down and come back in balance.

I visited many resorts all over the world for various retreats and I’m teached as a therapist by myself but I was deeply impressed of my stay in ZEN. So what’s makes ZEN different?

-	Therapy concept includes healing and balancing of your soul and your mind and not just of your body
-	There is no “hospital feeling”. You have lot of time for yourself, you can change your plan at any time with doctor’s ok and you also get a glass of wine or a chocolate dessert if you really need to have one
-	The concept of ZEN is not focusing just on treatment. It’s a perfect mix of nice and healthy food, lovely accommodation, nice garden, sports, treatments and last but not least all work is done with love.

Almost no words can descripe the magic of  this place

It has taken some time to process and articulate my feelings about the 15 blissful and blessed nights we spent at Zen Resort, out of our 19 nights in Bali. To say it is a magical, beautiful, peaceful, spiritual and sublime, sensory delight--is an understatement.  The property, landscaping, gardens, infinity pool, meditation areas, and ocean and hill views are gorgeous. The organic, fresh meals prepared and served with love and kindness is unparalleled. The spa treatments are among the best forms of physical, emotional and spiritual healing I have ever experienced anywhere in the world including at meditation ashrams and ayurveda centers in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, or Asia. The ayurveda doctor is very knowledgable and the detox treatment plans are both gentle and effective. The staff at every level--spa, dining,reception, gardening, offices, housekeeping, transportation, etc.--are some of the kindest, most gentle, caring people I have ever met. They embody Grace, joy, and divine presence in their entire Being and everything they do. Ms. Budiani, the Manager, who should also have the title of Activities and Spirituality Director, sets the example and a high standard for all. After 2 weeks and 18 spa treatments there, we felt sad to leave, and can't wait to visit again! We wish it was less expensive so we could return very soon and bring more friends and family members with us. Overall, words and photos cannot fully express the serene and soulful experience, and we are ever grateful to everyone who is involved in making Zen Resort such a special part of Bali.

To conclude: I felt at home from the very first day, enjoyed nice staff, excellent treatments,  and the lovely and peaceful surrounding. I never had such a relaxing vacation before. No doubts that I will come back somewhen soon.
