Gopis Farm

This is a truly amazing place. Tastefully designed bungalow set amongst a beautiful coconut orchard. The scenery and the ambience is incredible and this is a perfect place to get away and unwind. The staff is courteous and even though they don't speak a whole lot of English, we didn't find it an issue to communicate with them. The cook whips out some delicious finger licking local delicacies and accommodates your every request with a smile. This place is located near a village and far from the any civic amenities. There are going to be a few mosquitoes in the evenings but that is normal for any place that is located near a farm. If you expect city like comforts and amenities, then this place is not for you. If you are looking for a peaceful and serene place to get away for a short holiday then this is a perfect getaway located about 3.5 hours from Bangalore. The toilets were the best part of this homestay. Huge, spacious with lots of natural light. No problem with the flushes or the running water as some of the others have reported. Tip : If you are are into mountain biking or trail running then there some excellent trails around.
