Hotel: Our room was beautiful and very clean. The gardens are very well kept. The pool was disappointing because it was very dirty and small. There is no service so you rely on Wi-Fi which is fine unless there is a power cut. 

Location: The hotel is in the middle of the town so everything is nearby. There is a travel agent opposite who helped us with trains and hiring a scooter. The beach is a 2 minute walk and Palolem Beach is 15 minutes on a scooter or in a taxi. 

Service: The staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Everyone was lovely and helped us with everything we needed. The food service was quick in the restaurant and the food was delicious. (The pet dog is also adorable!)

Book for the beautiful rooms, not the pool!

Check in was smooth. The Rooms alloted were as shown in the pictures equipped with TV ac geyser etc. Wifi is free. Gardens are very well kept.. View from the room is great. General store and restaurant is just across the road. U can also hire bikes from Mr Raju Pagi who sits outside the gate on the left.
Prakash also arranged meals from outside for us.
Swimming pool was under cleaning and refilling due to which we couldn't use the pool. Surprisingly it was being done on a weekend. Disappointing considering we had short listed this place due to the pool. They managed to speed up the process later..after being told.

Be prepared for non stop power fluctuations in the room. The different sounds made by the ac and fan due to power fluctuation will guarantee disturb ur sleep. On the first night of our stay it rained heavily and there was a power cut for hours the backup dint work immediately. It worked only after making numerous calls to Mr. Prakash at 3am. 
There is very little network connectivity in the hotel premises. U have to depend on WiFi.

The riverside restaurant shown in the website seems non functional and abandoned.



An OK stay

We booked the hotel through online for 1 day because we were not having fixed plans for sightseeing. With a thought that we will extend the stay if we required but the time we checked in, we were informed by the receptionist that we have to checkout tomorrow as we have a booking in your room. This was something we were not expecting . Service not good . Staff is kind of mean . Room was good indeed except all . So we suggest to everyone to book the hotel accordingly .

It's amazing resort in Goa

We visited this place in Feb 2020. We were group of 6 boys. We have been allocated 2 rooms as per reservation. I am really disappointed by poor customer service received by them. Extremely unhappy. We booked this place after lots of research and due  budget accommodation compare with other properties in Agonda. But they turned us down. Following issues we faced with them.
1. Early Check-in : We arrived at place around 8:30 am our check in time was 1 pm but they don't allow us to check little early by 1 hour even rooms were empty.
2. Fans and ACs were not working. Even after repetitive complaints they don't take action. We were furious. I was surprised how this property is MMT assured place. We registered complaint with MMT about poor service and facilities.
3. Worst Hospitality - The care taker staff were rude. Not at all friendly behaviour. I think they need guidance about how you treat speak with your customers.
4. Location is also not good. Too away from main beach.

I would definitely not recommend this for your trip. Look for other options.

Disappointed by poor customer service 

With 19 years of travels in India and staying in many types of accommodations, I came across Agonda Palace during my recent exploration in Goa.  I LOVED my stay there!  I liked it so much, it was hard to leave.  What was originally a booking for 4 nights, turned into 8 nights, and unfortunately I had to leave for an international flight.   The rooms are spacious with lots of drawers and space for unpacking, comfortable bed, and my room was cleaned every other day.  For me it was a peaceful place away from the chaos, and so convenient in the middle of Agonda, right across the road from the beach.  I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the fabulous food.   I can't wait to return!  

Exceptional!  A Lovely Peaceful Place!

This property in a very quiet location, a few minutes walk across the road from the beach. The rooms are quite big but very basic and tired and could do with brightening up.  The room and linen was, however, clean.  There is a fan and air-con and small outside sitting area.  The shower room was also dated but adequate.  Quite a few mosquitoes around while we were there but a coil and repellent worked OK. There is mosquito netting on the windows. 

The restaurant and chill-out area are very pleasant. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was very good. The coffee was excellent. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful.
The stream, next to the restaurant is, unfortunately, full of rubbish and quite an eyesore which is a shame.
I would only recommend this hotel if you are used to basic standards in the rooms.  We booked on booking.com and were definitely overcharged. I would stay here again but it would have to be at a budget price.

Pleasant stay but basic and tired.

Having spent many hours trying to find that perfect place in Agonda we luckily decided to check out this hotel and we were so glad we did. It was just perfect. So much so, we ended up staying for 3 weeks!

Before I review the hotel I should give a special mention and thanks to the Nepalese guys running the resort - Dinesh, Suresh and Ramesh. They are simply the perfect hosts and we left feeling like part of the family, rather just temporary visitors.

The 10 rooms (and Avocado Garden Restaurant) are situated opposite to the Simrose Resort, just up from the church and is therefore very conveniently positioned for all the shops and it's only a short stroll to the beach. All rooms have a balcony seating area and are situated in a mature garden area which is lovingly maintained and watered. Being on the opposite side of the road to the beach and set well back means that you have fabulous peace and quiet in a beautiful calm and tranquil setting. This feeling of well being is complemented by their restaurant down by the riverside.

The rooms themselves are large and spacious and wonderfully appointed. The bed is huge and very comfortable with crisp fresh linens and non feather pillows which ensured we had a great sleep every night. The room was cleaned every 2 days and the linens and towels were also changed. There is so much storage in the rooms that even we couldn't fill all the drawers and cupboards and we had a lot of gear. One thing we found really good was that the rooms are completely sealed against mosquitoes, thus a net over the bed wasn't needed. The room and bathroom windows had good screens over them, so could be left open for a lovely breeze. To combat the heat the rooms also have air conditioning and a multi speed fan. Plus the sink is within the room and not the bathroom which is a great idea. Hot water is available in the bathroom which again is large and spacious.

There have been some complaints that the air con, free wifi etc doesn't work during the odd power outages. Well this has been addressed and the owner of the resort is installing a generator to rectify this problem. The plinth and cabling was already in place when we left mid December.

Apart from the rooms, the guys have created a lovely area for drop in Yoga on the rooftop. It is wonderfully shaded and quite spiritual with good views across the river to open fields. 

Plus they also have cooking classes provided by a very well respected and renowned  teacher from the Yogacooking school.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will no doubt return in 2019.

Simply The Best

Me and my partner stayed at this place on august and felt very comfortable. The place was very quiet and the room was nice and clean. Due to monsoon the restaurant of the resort was not open. 
Staffs were very friendly and ready to help you any time. 


Nice and Quiet place to stay

My husband and I stayed at Agonda Palace for one night in April 2018. The hotel is situated near the Church on the side if the road away from the beach. The hotel backs on to jungle and the river – the pictures on Tripadvisor are of the estuary rather than the part of the river behind the hotel – with a cosy restaurant overlooking this and lots of bird life to watch.
The room was spacious, the bed was huge and air con was effective, we had a balcony with chairs and table to relax on and there was mosquito netting across the shuttered windows (though wasn’t much of an issue in April). The attached bathroom was clean and sufficient with good shower and hot water available, the sink was outside the bathroom.
There was free wifi throughout the property, and it was very close to great restaurants, shops, ATM and the beach. The on-site restaurant was furnished beautifully, we had breakfast only (eggs, cooked to perfection, toast and coffee) which was included in our room rate.
Great price for air con room within very easy reach of everything you come to Agonda for!

Great hotel super close to the beach

Me and my partner honestly can’t recommend Agonda Palace enough!
Great location, friendly staff, serious value for money and a wonderful included cooked breakfast.
AC worked, WiFi was the best we’ve had in India and our room was spacious and clean.
Included breakfast is eggs of your choice, toast w/ butter or jam. Tea or coffee. They also happily threw in extras for us like grilled tomatoes and potatoes. All delicious.
We also had dinner there one evening and highly recommend the Thali.
Location wise; a few minutes and your on the beach also just opposite in walking distance of 5-8mins are several great restaurants, bars and spas. 
A perfect 4 nights.
