This is one of the beautiful stay in kargil with proper amenities and staff behaviour is very good. Food is awesome and loved the vibes of this place and the owner was so helpful in arranging the taxis

Best stay in Kargil

 Checked in on July 11, 2022. The rooms are cozy and the entire linen was clean and white. This year Leh, Kargil is warm during July, and fans are required in the rooms.  Rooms in this hotel are fitted with fan also.  Customer service ( particularly with Rakesh) is top class and he even managed our local sightseeing to Museum and drive up to LOC-a place called Hunderman village. It has a small garden where one can have an evening tree. The view of River Shyok from rooms is not clear as big trees obstruct the view. The food is excellent. and overall experience was excellent. 

Wonderful stay at Highland resort.......

Very good place for travelers, rooms, and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly. The food was also very fresh and yummy. Wifi speed was also good(70 Mbps). I will definitely recommend this property to everyone if you are visiting Kargil

Good place for long and short stay

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. With tasty food, high internet, hot water, clean and comfortable rooms, I find it one of the best place to stay in Kargil. If you are looking for stay for any number of days this is the place to stay.

I came with my friends and this property was super amazing. the owner of the property was so humble and knowledgeable. rooms were quiet spacious and decorated. breakfast to dinner everything was sorted. loved the services

Best stay of Kargil

Stayed there for almost 3 days in harsh winter and the accommodation was very comfortable. Staff is supportive and helpful. Best place to stay in Kargil with open dining and beautiful view of majestic mountain. Food is just amaazing.

Best hotel for winter stay with central heating in all rooms

Looking at kargil we were worried if we will get a good hotel or not but we were glad we chose this hotel. No fan but decent, got hot water and the rooms were clean. Spent some good time with the owner of the hotel after dinner and enjoyed our stay. Food is good but can be better...very hospitable staff, yes there is no lift but we felt we could manage without an issue. Thank you team.

Had a very good stay

In the afternoon we reach The Highland Mountain Resort. At first glance it seems like a good hotel, helpful front-desk. Comfortable rooms located on a garden. Good beds and neat shower. Book breakfast and dinner in advance (well taken care of). 
There are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is located on the NH1, and in terms of route for us it was convenient, for next time I would prefer to be closer to a market.
*I don't think I got an impression of Kargil, while we passed a nice market, a bus station with local life etc But everything not within walking distance of the hotel.

Good Hotel Outside the Centre of Kargil

If you are travelling between Srinagar and Lek, by road, it is advisable to do it in 2 days , and spend a night at Kaegil, the halfway point. Kargil is very small town, with limited facilities. So don't expect a 5 start hotel. The Highland Mountain resort ( the spa is not operational), is very good place to stay overnight. Rooms are small but adequate, food choice is limited but quality is good. Service is very good. There si enough parking space in the hotel

A very good place to stay in Kargil

After driving for near;y 12 hours we checked into the hotel with pleasant smiles of the staff and management .
We were amongst few  guests  when we arrived for the night en route to Leh.
There is no  heating in the room but it wasn't too cold in the night .
Dining in the hotel  was  a good spread of buffet food .
A nice place to stay .
There is no Spa as the name suggests in the hotel .
