Dreams Inn Agra - Villa Harmony

Dreams Inn is difficult to locate, even local residents could not guide us and few people even confirmed that no such place existed.  Thanks to Google Maps which helped us to locate Dreams Inn.  Once inside the place, you cannot think of a clean and green place. Beautifully constructed with garden and lawn.  Room allocated to us was well furnished and clean. 

Staff is inexperienced but their hospitality is amazing.   Devender and Ajay were very helpful during our stay.  Because of my 6-year kid we had certain request for breakfast which was happily fulfilled by the cook.  Menu is limited but we enjoyed Aloo Paranthas with Tea in breakfast.  Charges are reasonable.  Excellent place near Taj Mahal for night stay.  Do not expect hotel like services and food menu & quality.

A superb calm and serene place in the midst of the city. The rooms were quite comfortable, but for the winters inclusion of heater could make it more comfortable. Very nice lawn for kids to play. Surprised to see peacock, parrot and monkey on mornings - kids enjoyed this sight.

Nice Place for short stay

Excellent home stay

The property is located close to Taj & Red Fort  but the vicinity or the place where it is located is not worth it. The property is huge and well maintainsed but not managed by professionals. The count of staff members is only 3 who will do everything for you... room cleaning, house keeping, kitchen, service.... you name it and they will do it. Do not expect to see different people for different jobs. The food is very very average. You will not get any add ons with the food.. Basic meals are provided.Ask for a pickle or a papad or salad, the answer is a sweet NO. The saving grace it is cooked inhouse. Dont go for non veg meals. The exhaust of 3 front facing rooms are linked to each other. So in case you make up your mind to stay there and are lucky to gget any of these rooms, please carry loads of cans of air freshners. Lastly but the most important- THERE IS NO POWER BACK UP.We spent 6 hours without fans and light leave aside a/c's in a temp.of 40 degrees( we became a feast for almost all mosquitoes of Agra).

Not worth the deal.....!!!

So let us start with the things they can do nothing about. It was foggy and cold both nights, but the room was freezing with nothing offered to warm it. 
Hot water is hit and miss,ours was miss so no shower on the first morning. 
No toiletries are provided, even though we were supposedly in a superior room the their own website proudly shows a photo of the toiletries supplied. I showed the person who I think is the manager the photo but he still hadn't provided anything by the time we left after 2 nights. 
The hour water issue Was magically fixed after breakfast when one of the 3 men trying to run the place told me that our water ran  off his tank  (I suspect he had turned a valve in his room! !)
Food is take it or leave it. The evening meal was addressed by "do you like Indian" what is the choice I asked, well non veg or veg. What is the non Indian choice then?  "You go to restaurant then". The nearest restaurants are 2km away he said. 
Breakfast is a plain omelette with toast or pitta bread and potato.
The room was not serviced for the 2nd  day we were there.
Watching the 3 men who appear to be running the place it seems that they have the sum total of 2 weeks experience of the hotel/hospitality industry. 
The only explanation I can come up with for the huge difference in previous reviews and mine is that the place has changed hands or these three have been left in charge whilst the real manager is away! !!
Only go if your want comedy moments watching people trying to run a little hotel

Inept management and hopeless service

We booked the entire place for new years 5 months in advance. The place is beautifully constructed and located near the taj expressway. The management group however is very bad. Few points here about the management or lack of it:

1. We spoke to the manager and booked the place 5 months in advance at a rate proposed by the management yet over the next few months and throughout our holiday, there was constant cribbing and ranting by the management over how they gave us a dream deal at a great loss to themselves

2. The management could not prepare a menu and price list for us despite such a lead time and constantly pestered us with their queries and repeated cribbing as described above. There was constant haggling over pre agreed prices and in the end we felt it a mistake to book through these people

3. The serving bowls and cutlery rented were of poor quality.  

4. Hot water is a problem. It was not available most of the time

5. WiFi range is not more than 5-7 feet - i.e. you get WiFi only if you stand next to the dongle

6. They don't provide a proper bill despite repeated requests. Payment is all by cash or bank transfer to the managers' personal account.

7. The staff except resort supervisor is good. The cook is also very nice. Full marks to the staff for performing well despite such managers. The staff is honest and we didn't have any issues with them

8. The resort supervisor remarked to a lady guest of ours about how their new year was spoilt due to our visit

9. There is no rooftop restaurant

10. Linen/towel changing doesn't happen so please don't expect it

11. The lowest point was a call from the managers on the day of our departure to return the towels so they may be washed for the next set of guests

The place would do well if professionals run it. Until then it is better avoided
