Located in a quiet neighborhood and just a pleasant walk to the center (if you like 2 different  paths). If you plan to go on tours there are 2 good pickup places just around the corner (Alba guesthouse or Bus Hostel Reykjavik). The guesthouse itself is nice,  clean and a cozy look but with enough space. The place is completed  a friendly host. A perfect place for a quiet stay together or alone.

A perfect place for a quiet stay together or alone

We have stayed for three nights at the beginning of our vacation in Iceland. The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood in walking distance (15 min) to the city center. Rooms, kitchen and bathroom are cosy and clean, equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable, wifi is working perfectly and parking is free. Lolo’s breakfast is really excellent and definitely worth the extra fee. So all in all a perfect stay with a very friendly and helpful host. We would definitely book here again.

We arrived at the guesthouse at 4:30am, the host did not blink. She was very welcoming and helpful. The room is small but clean and warm. Only a short walk from the city centre, the area is quiet and peaceful.

Ideal for short stay in Reykjavík, great host!

Great location, near city center. Nice cozy flat, warm with kitchen. Went mid December, able to walk everywhere, clean and comfy. I had a rental car, but didn't need it. Small kitchen, which I used to for the late night snack coming back from the bars. Shared bathroom, but never saw the other guests. Would highly recommend this place and would use again if ever in Iceland again.

Great vacation

The Guesthouse has 2 comfortable rooms that, even though in the basement, are ver light. The curtains are thick enough to keep out the light during the night in Summer. I gave stayed in both rooms, and preferred the one with the sink (double bed, the other has separate beds), but both rooms are comfortable with good beds. You share a small but well equiped kitchen and bathroom just with the other room. The shower in the bathroom was a bit dark and small. I found it very convenient to gave a kitchen, so you can make yor own breakfast, or dinner if you get back late from an excursion.

The location was excellent for me. It is 20 minutes walk to the city centre, but I did not mind that, I was out on excursions most days anyway, and the walk is pleasant. It is also very close, less than 5 minute walk, to the Bus Hostel, which is realky convenient for the Airport Direct bus, and also as pick-up point for excursions. Down town pick-up oint are outside, not great when it rains, but in the bus hostel you can wait inside with free wifi.

My only negative about the aguesthouse is that you can really well hear the people from the other room, it is not well soundproofed. At some point there was a couple with a 5 year old child staying in the other room, and although this child was quite well behaved, it meant extra noise. As you are really sharing an appartment with strangers, I don't think it is suitable for children.

Nice place

The facility was not in great repair with chips in the painted basement floor, junk and an overturned chair and lounge in the view of the 'garden'.  No decor.  Cheap, painted plywood type cabinets in room.  Thin, 1.5" foam type mattress.  Stained seat cover on chair.  Mold in bathroom on ceiling, walls, and on the cheap plastic shower curtain.  If you used the sink in the bedroom, you got water all over the floor as the faucet stuck out almost to the edge.  You really felt like you were in a basement or a dorm.  Area only OK and a bit of a walk to downtown.  Neighboring residences were not in good repair either, with garbage on unkept 'lawns' and cracking concrete walls. Their picture is not representative of how the house looks.
