This is a nice spot near the Arctic Circle. We only stayed for a night so we didn’t get to use any amenities but the washer which was free. The man at the front desk was very nice and had a cute puppy that he let us pet. Overall a nice experience.

A nice good value guesthouse in a remote city with a very friendly receptionist. Large sitting room and well equipped kitchen. Beware! Take your key with you if you go out in the evening, else you'll be locked out!

Stayed in Raufarhofn for one night while traveling the entire ring road. Our kiddo had wanted to stay there because it was the best chance for northern lights viewing, without realizing there are 12 hours of daylight in June. There isn't anything to do in Raufarhofn besides the Arctic Henge and there aren't any restaurants... However despite all that this was an enjoyable evening and the accommodations here were quite nice despite being a throwback to the 70s, decoration-wise. We had booked a two person room and a 3 person room for our family of 5, and we were given the whole 3rd floor to ourselves. I think it was still the beginning of the season so they weren't fully booked. The woman at reception was friendly and helpful, and wasn't in the least put out when I asked for coffee filters even though I figured out later they were already there in the room the wi-fi worked fine and the kitchen was well equipped so I had no trouble making dinner and breakfast in the common area on the floor we were occupying. We walked from the property to the Arctic Henge and aside from being dive-bombed by the Arctic terns, it was pleasant and scenic, even though it was raining pretty hard. The beds were very comfortable and everyone got a great nights sleep. Price is on par for Iceland. Recommend!

Cute, quaint, clean and spacious.

Raufarhofn is a rustic town at the North Western tip of Iceland. The Nest shares some of that rugged rustic charm, with a deceptively rugged, almost weather beaten exterior but offering a warm, clean, cosy interior, with welcoming hosts. We stayed on the top (second) floor, using 2 comfortable single rooms and a twin room. There were 3 other rooms on the floor as well, with two showers and a well equipped kitchen area, with a small seating area in the kitchen and a separate lounge/dining area. Having a self-catering option with the kitchen was important after a long drive, as Raufarhofn is a small town and there isn't much in the way of dining out options. This is a good choice for a night or two if you're in the North.

Rustic Northern charm

This self-catering guesthouse appears to be new, but it's of good quality. The rooms are clean and there's a kitchen that guest can make use of.

There is a nice view of the harbour and some of the rooms have views of the Arctic Henge monument which is being constructed in Raufarhofn.

Clean, comfortable, nice views

Wow been to Iceland 6 times and this stands out as the worst by a long way. There is nothing here it's not worth the long painful drive .please give it a miss. The shop is closed as is the garage and just about everything else.  If you don't bring supplies with you you will starve.

The village the world forgot

 We were out front at 1600 for their checkin and no one was there. Called the number listed at the door and they couldn't find a reservation even though my travel agency had numerous emails between them. We were told that we would be the only ones in this 3 story large guesthouse and they would be there for us at 1730! The outside of the building is rusty and looked in disarray with little attention to its upkeep. We left!
