Cottage 2 was the perfect place for our family of 3. The owners have managed to squeeze a lot into that tiny house (for context, we have stayed in several similar cottages on this and previous trips to Iceland). Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful grounds, friendly owners. And hubby got to see the Northern Lights by simply walking out the front door. Only negative was the large amount of bird droppings on front porch, but we stepped around it - what can you do? It looked like the owner was trying to keep the chairs and table clean. We stayed in Akureyri on our last trip but our toddler loved running around outdoors at Artun. And we all loved the fresh mountain air. We would stay at Artun again in a heartbeat.
