We haven't stayed in the Panzio but had dinners in the Csarda. It's always cozy, nice food and service there. They don't only offer typical Hungarian dishes but other things as well and it's always very nice whatever you go for. Service is quick, staff very friendly so I can only recommend the place. Also it's a typical Csarda outlook, and inside maintained too this is why it may look a little outdated but it's not, it's just the design I guess. Prices are standard Balaton prices I guess, neither too expensive nor cheap.

Restaurant review

I was only at the restaurant, which impressed our family very much. The food was superb, service very nice, yet a bit slow. It was a Sunday luch, maybe it was the reason for it. It is definitely worth to visit.

Excellent food, very good service

We ate here two times during our 1 week stay in Balatonszéplak-felső and the experience was exceptional! There was a very good variety of foods and tasty traditional Hungarian dishes. The waiters were professional and kind to us explaining patiently and recommending us dishes. We have also tried out the dödölle a traditional Hungarian garnish that we did not have seen before in other restaurants. The prices were reasonable to the quality and service they have provided. We have also tried out some other restaurants in the region there and I can easily say its by far the best choice.

Very taste and pleasant restaurant!

The place is nice, family oriented although the standard rooms are not so big they made it aesthetically well. Cleaning service as such did not exist. During our 5 days stay, we had no cleaning within the room and we did not get any new towels either. Note that the only one trash in the bathroom was changed every day. Missed the cleaning service a lot! Surprisingly the restaurant part looked very neat and clean, the food was very delicious.

5 days stay for 2 persons

Apple juice is nice for kiddo. Thats all. No outdoor service (like 12 table outside), terrible (and overpriced wines). Fizzy drinks without bubbles… Drive 2 miles more for next place, i do that, next review in a couple of hours

Not recommended

We were two families who went to the restaurant on recommendation. At first sight it's very nice. Took about 5-10 minutes before we were shown to a table even though not very many guests. When we were about to sit down we saw that there was dripping water from the sealing so I asked for another table. This was obviously a hassle (as I wrote before not very busy) and she told us that we than had to sit in another area of the restaurant and that the table there had just been cleared. No problem...
We sat down and waited for the table to be set. That didn't happen. Instead they put the cutlery on the table and left. 
When we were still eating one of the waitresses came up to the table with a dessert that we hadn't ordered and when I told her this she muttered that it had been ordered and just walked away. 
I will give them that the food is not bad but everything else was...
