I was on Edipsos for business trip, i work for marine research and i travel on a monthly basis.
All the staff is extremely friendly and they work hard to ensure that your stay will be very good.
The service is exceptional.

First things first, Loutra Edipsou is the most popular SPA resort renowned for its thermo-mineral springs flowing directly into the sea. It’s the most lavishing place on the island of Evia in which one can find the most luxurious spa hotels with thermal pools. The sulfur from the  springs mainly helps people with bone diseases, such as osteoporosis.
Our stay there was 10 days long and me and my family had a good time. The hotel itself is richly equipped with all the necessary gear (air-conditioner, television) and the staff are...let’s say friendly (they could have been more committed to their guests, though). There is a pool you can use, not too big in size, but serves its purpose. The ceiling of our room was incredibly high and the room itself was kind of dark. The balcony doors were too small for enough sunlight to brighten the whole of the room. And it could use some refurbishing when it comes to the furniture of the rooms. They really ought to put more fish in the menu, we were often served salami for breakfast (it was actually a buffet for breakfast, but there was not much to choose from), and chicken meat for dinner (to name but a few).  
Now off to the beach- the ‘normal’ beach was sandy, but be careful as you can come across sharp rocks and some algae branches (I think it’s called that) here and there. We didn’t go to that beach very often because of the jellyfishes that the sea was groaning with (some light-brown, there were blue ones too). But even that was fun for the children as they kept themselves busy hunting them (even some adults did). The ‘other’ beach is the one with the sulfur springs- incredible! The sea was crystal-transparent and there were no jellyfishes there. 
The water at the spring is boiling hot, so don’t even think of touching it, you’ll wind up at the doctor’s. There are also immense rocky slopes of sulfur that allow warm water to flow over them into the sea. One can use it to get a natural water massage on their back.
Incidentally, at midday it was impossibly hot, so bringing a sun umbrella is compulsory! 
On the whole, while the place does not have discos for the night life, it is perfect for a family vacation and/or relaxation.

Our room was not big, but we had a big corner balcony. TV+AC+refrigerator+WiFi included -> a big +. Beds were clean and not too hard. Cleaning staff didn't come everyday but it was fine. Breakfast is good but has limited choices of food.

A good choice at the center of city

Lived up to our expectations 

Good 3* hotel

i am currently in ermis. reservation was made through travel agency.have paid for double room and  got a single with spare bed even though it was announced that i will be late for 2 days (and paid for that)!!! explanation was that they were not informed on my late arrival and that everything is full with greeks so that they cannot give me another room, even-though according to booking.com and tripadvisor.com there ARE available double rooms. everything else is quite satisfying - good position,acceptable food quality,large portions of meal,personnel is also ok... if it is not about this poor service i would rank the hotel much higher.

poor facilities,bad construction.no breakfast,no satellite tv,poor ac.Voices can be heard from the other rooms.Staff is very friendly but that is just not enough.Excellent wifi.Very close to the sea but overall it certainly needs an upgrade to the rooms facilities.
