The room and location is very good for Sarti. If you have a child you should ask first floor. The sea is a little bit wave. We went to different location for swimming. the owner is so cute but they did not speak english :( 

clean room great location

Hotel Asteras is located in the central part of Sarti. 100 metres from the sea, away from the noisy streets and still just close enough to the main street. Clean room, nice staff. It is worth visiting it!

Nice hotel perfect location

Location: very close to the central pedestrian zone (about 100m). The closest supermarket and bakery merely 20m away. Sarti beach at 50m, although I would recommend exploring other more beautiful beaches outside Sarti. There is a public drinking fountain right in front of the hotel. There was enough parking space, even in the shade. Music (not very loud) could be heard until 01h, probably from the nearby hotel - afterwards only the sound of waves.
Rooms: very spacious. Enough electricity sockets. Lots of drawers and clothes hangers, but no shelves. Good size flat screen TV. The double bed is somewhat smaller, but comfortable enough.
Kitchen: well equipped. We even got the sponge and some dish washing detergent. 
Bathroom: somewhat small, but functional. The shower cabin is quite spacious, one can easily shower a child. There is a socket for hair dryer and enough hooks to hang towels. We were provided with 2 small soaps. 
Balcony: large. A good size, stable table to easily seats 4 persons. A nice view over Athos from the 2nd floor (and probably form the 1st, too). 
Garden: small, but well maintained. There is a shower and a tap at the entrance.
Wi-Fi: decent. Better connection on the balcony than in the room. Not so bad as in some previous comments, but not fast enough to download larger files. Quite OK for email, Facebook etc.
A/C: cannot comment since we didn't need it.
Cleanliness: excellent! The rooms are completely cleaned, linen changed and set of 2 towels per person provided every 3 days.
Downfalls: there were only Greek channels on TV and all programs are synchronized in Greek. There were only 5 clothes pins. Like I said - no shelves for clothes (our family of 3 packed somehow, but I think it would be a challenge for a larger family). It would be nice if the kitchen had 1 smaller casserole, 1 larger and sharp knife and a tray (to bring dishes to the balcony).

A very good hotel in its category

We chose Asteras among several options for private accommodation in Sarti and having just come back, I totally recommend it. 
The rooms are specious and have good a/c, the kitchen was equipped and the bathroom was big enough. The balconies are looking north and (as opposed to most rooms in the center of Sarti) overlook the garden, so it was pleasant to eat and relax any time of the day, even when the temperature was at it's highest. Having no crowds and cars passing in front was a huge advantage.
Every three days the room was cleaned and  we got new towels and bedding, which is good for this category of accommodation. Wifi was not great, but satisfactory and better than the online complaints I read beforehand.
The location is among the best in Sarti - very close to the beach, and between the old (full of shops and restaurants) and new (calmer) part of the town. Even with a very small child it was possible to go anywhere on foot.
Sarti is a great place to stay and explore the fantastic beaches nearby, and Asteras is an excellent place to stay there.

Excellent location

Very bad hostess. Rude and no professional at all.  Worst i ever met. I dont recommend this place.. except if you wish is to sleep for one night. No view. No good bed. Very uncomfortable and old but its clean enough and air conditioned. No good quality between rent and services you are provided. No value for money. The hotel's site is much better than the same hotel. Visit only its site, avoid the real place.
