As every year (see previous reviews), my stay at Madilides (formerly To Koralli) has been idyllic. Since last year, Georgia and Antonis have completely redone all the rooms in Cycladic style, with pristine white masonry and natural wood details, the perfect finishing touch to rooms that already featured traditional stone floors. Set in a quiet olive grove 2 minutes’ walk from the beach, minimarkets and restaurants, the rooms have AC, balconies and a fully equipped kitchenette. They are kept spotlessly clean. There is a bus stop nearby so I haven’t felt the need to rent a car. If you do have a car, there is parking space available. Add to this Georgia’s attentive hospitality - what more could anyone ask? This has been my home from home for several years now; there is just nowhere else like it.


New name, same idyllic spot

This year I stayed at To Koralli as usual,  (see previous review) for one month this time. Georgia and Antonis had added a spacious patio in traditional Cycladic paving, amply furnished for guests to relax outside in the shade of the olive trees. Morning swims at the beach, only a short walk away, delicious traditional treats from Georgia, spectacular walks to Chrysopigi, Faros, and Kastro (taking the bus which stops nearby). ... the holiday passed all too quickly. With her attentive hospitality, Georgia reigns like a benevolent spirit over the place. This hotel has become my second home over the years.

Quiet yet conveniently near the beach

To Koralli is a magnificient safe haven, and Georgia, the host, is of the kindest and full of attentions. Thanks to her, we could taste the delicious traditional chick peas recipe.  
You don’t have shop anything for breakfast, it’s topped up everyday. Coffee, tea, yoghurt, sweet bread, eggs, jam, biscuits, and so on and so forth. On top of this, Georgia has been very helpful when we needed her.
 Last but not least, if you like to hike, there are several hiking paths starting a few minutes walk from To Koralli.
If we come back to Sifnos, without a doubt we will come back.

Magnificient safe haven, lots of small attentions

Every time I come to Sifnos there is only one place for me: To Koralli at Platis Gialos. Nestled among the olive trees on a quiet lane a short stroll from the beach, it is conveniently close to all the cafes, restaurants and minimarkets yet quiet and bucolic. Georgia's unequalled hospitality and kindness make you feel at home right away, spoiling you with delicious homemade treats (both traditional dishes and tempting sweets), keeping the room spotlessly clean, and always ready to help with advice or information. The rooms are comfy, spacious and well equipped, the upper balconies with views and the lower ones nestled among the olive trees. They have kitchenettes with cooking utensils, and breakfast ingredients are provided.Built in traditional Cycladic style featuring a stone arch and typical stone floors, garlanded with blooming bougainvillea and hibiscus, the hotel has a charm all its own. If you rent a car there is parking in the grove, otherwise the bus stop is nearby.This is my fourth stay, ranging from two weeks to two months.

Home from home among the olives

Just a few minutes’ walk from the beach this spacious apartment was fully equipped and spotless. Georgia who is a kind and attentive person did her best for our comfort. Though no meal was included she offered us handmade treats! Good for couples and families. Very good value for money.

Great Hospitality!

100 metres off the beach road, balcony views across the goat fields and olive trees looking out to sea and very well kept, spacious accommodation is what is on offer here. We booked a day or two in advance only so were slightly apprehensive as things are busy in July, but the experience was very positive.

Such a friendly reception from Georgia, with plenty of advice about where to go and where to eat (To Steki is a good start). Breakfast is supplied in the room on a self catering basis but was different every day which was a pleasant change. Rooms are very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. I  asked for a lighter to light candles for the balcony in the evening and one was duly on the table when we got home after dinner.

Would have happily stayed longer than the three days we had booked here.

Fantastic room to rent

It was a beautiful accommodation, close to the local market and the beach. It was quiet and was surrounded by trees. The room was very clean, and it was equipped with everything, someone might need during his stay (hair dryer, drying rack, clothespins, toasters, cutlery, etc). Each balcony was equipped with a table, some chairs and its own umbrella. The breakfast had cereal, croissants, cookies, rusks, marmalade, honey, butter, and coffee (with everyday refill). The owners (Antonis and Georgia) was very friendly and always smiley. We spent an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely revisit..

Incredible Hospitality

We booked the place last minute with a great price regarding the occupancy of the island at the begging of July. The owners, a young couple, is taking care of the entire place very well since the room is being cleaned daily. They were both very polite and willing to give us information about the surroundings and what we should visit. Every day we would find in the room local products such as fresh biscuits or different traditional treats. So nice on their behalf ! Plus, the house has its own private parking with olive trees and your car would not boil under the hot sun. There is no sea view but there is a garden around !

Very nice clean rooms, private parking and great hosts

Great hospitality from a young couple. Both very friendly and polite, always happy to give directions and advice.
We stayed in room 7 which has a sea view. Super clean, spacious, kitchenette fully equipped, modern bathroom, fluffy towels, free wifi in the room. Corn flakes, coffee, tea and locale sweet bread were offered as a treat when we arrived. And croissants the next day. 
The residence is 2 min by foot from the beach. You can find great restaurants and coffee shops in Platys Gyalos. A mini market is about 100m away.
The price is more than fair for what you get. 
We regret only that we stayed there for just 3 nights.
