Staff were very friendly. Room was good but lacking certain accessories. However, when we left our kindle there after check out they were very helpful and gave it to the bus driver to deliver to the station.

Friendly and Welcoming

The host was very nice and welcoming. She offered us fruits and welcomed us to eat with her. The room was comfortable and clean. Wifi was good. Its a bit out of the touristic cemter but close enough. 5 to 20 minutes walk to everywhere. 
Would recommend staying there.
It was a bit difficult to pay as she was always saying later later... we had to ask 5 times to pay!

Very welcoming and friendly

We stayed here for multiple nights, location is about 10 min walk max to city center. Kritikos supermarket is in walking distance and many bakeries are nearby. We booked at argolis hotel originally but upon arrival the owner told us we could also choose to stay next door in the Alexander rooms. We were surprised at first, but when we checked out the Alexander rooms we actually preferred those, and we got it for the same price. It is a studio but the kitchenette is not well equipped, no kettle/spoons. We asked at the reception and the owner directly supplied us with a kettle! We enjoyed the two balconies a lot. The beds and shower are great. The housekeeping could improve, don't expect your bed to be made up! Sometimes the bin was not emptied. Poor WiFi in the room. 
Overall, we liked our stay because of the nice location and the friendly owner who is really thoughtful. She also invited us to eat her freshly baked Easter cookies! Thanks Alexandra!

Decent hotel

Great place to go! Nice and clean. To be perfect they just need to serve breakfast. Reception people super kind and willing to explain you EVERYTHING!!! near the historic center. Nice bed, room with balcony, bathroom with HOT HOT WATER, rare to find during winter in Greece!! Two gay guys enjoyed this place. They didn't understand that two boys were sleeping in the same bed. They repeated the fact that they had separate beds. But that's just Greece!

Arriving to the hotel we were greeted with a huge stench in our rooms.The owner insisted on us paying in cash telling us that the card matchine didn’t work whilst getting really upset at the same time.We know this was to avoid paying the +3% tax, because reviews from a while ago from the hotel had said that they also had to pay in cash because the card machine was supposedly not working.. The room were decorated poorly and dark and hand small showers.The rooms were dirty I found a hair on my pillow upon entering the room. At night the hotel was really noisy despite shutting the doors, it was like being on a mortar way. Will never return.!

NEVER AGAIN!

Owing to a booking falling through, I had to find accommodation in Nafplio at very short notice and as I was travelling with a young child, could not risk arriving in the city and being unable to find a place to stay.  I therefore rang the Argolis and was told there was only one room left and it would cost 90 Euros.  This seemed a bit steep, but I thought I had no choice, having already been told by 2 other hotels that they were full.  Upon arrival at the hotel, the elderly lady running it was full of the praises of her own hotel: 'best in Nafplio' etc..  The room, however, had no facilities:  no soap, no kettle and worst of all, it stank!  The stench of bad drains coming from the bathroom was very strong;  so bad in fact, that I had to breath through my mouth.  When I enquired as to whether anything could be done about the smell, I was told that I was the only person ever to have complained of any smell at the Argolis Hotel and instead of offering to move my family to another room, or indeed to reduce the cost of the accommodation, the Owner, with very bad grace, put some disinfectant down the floor drain and in the shower drain and in the toilet bowl.  I left the Argolis as soon as I could the next morning and hope this review will save other travellers from being ripped off.  The accommodation and service provided by the Argolis was barely worth 40 Euros, certainly not the 90 Euros I paid.
