Creta Camping

We arrived late evening on 29th August staying for 2 weeks to be greeted by Dionisis who helped us with our cases up to the top floor, room 30, which we had requested, after we were given a complimentary drink, what a lovely warm welcome we received!!! The room was very large with a balcony which looked over the mountains and the sea, the views were beautiful and the room was kept spotless with a change of bed linen and towels every other day, air conditioning and a room safe was also complimentary. We loved the pool area which we used every day for a swim, very pretty gardens, there was also a snack bar with drinks, toasties, we also had hard boiled eggs with toast and coffees which we enjoyed most days for our late breakfast. Dionisis and his wife Irene are so lovely , kind and very generous. We saw them most days when we were using the pool which was never packed and most days enjoyed this to ourselves. There are some lovely places within walking distance, Agia Pelagia church and although the beach and tavernas were only 10 minutes walk away we did walk up to Ligaria beach which is stunning and down to Psornormo beach which is quite small but very scenic , the main beach did get crowded at weekends, however, there are numerous water-sports and a diving centre. The sea is very calm, warm and great for snorkelling. Thank you Irene and Dionisis for making our holiday very special with your kind and generous hospitality. It was wonderful!
