This small hotel is family owned and we were made to feel very welcome. Painted in traditional blue and white the premises were spotless and we stayed there for 2 nights bed and breakfast. Our twin room reminded me of Greek rooms of the 70s and was minimalist with a fridge, a drying rack for clothes and a veranda with pine trees outside offering shade and privacy. The breakfast was excellent offering a good range of foods. We had good air conditioning in our room which functioned efficiently. The price was very good value for money and the walk to the beach gave us our exercise. Lovely quiet situation with a small clean swimming pool.

Lovely family owned small hotel about a mile from the main village of Matala.

I came here after a long search looking for a hotel or place to stay in Matala. When I got here I straight away felt welcomed (the people are amazing) and so it was an easy decision to stay in Hotel Marina. 
It was the best decision as I had a great stay and could enjoy Matala fully! 
Hopefully see you again one day :) 

Great place with nice atmosphere 

My stay in the Marina Hotel was very pleasant. Very quite room and no loud neighbours. Clean and fresh sheets every day. Very good variety of breakfast choices. All in all a very pleasant experience, I would highly recommend it. 

Very hospitable

We came here as sisters through a package-holiday.

The Hotel doesn't look like much on the pictures, but it's pretty charming in reality.
The location is quite far from the beach, we rented bikes to get around and it was no problem at all (2 minutes to the beach, walking about 10-15minutes)

The owners are really warm and sweet, they assisted us on anything we needed, and even took us to the next pharmacy in their private car for free, waited for us and drove us back to the hotel.

Breakfast was nice, not too large of a selection, but sufficient and home-made, with the best home made breakfast tea (I am still looking for a tea like this now).

We felt totally at home and we would come back!

Matala gem

This hotel is rather outdated. Beds were not comfortable and several light were out of order (no bulbs). Bathroom is okay, but old fashioned. 
Staff is friendly, but only the son speaks English.
Breakfast is okay. The pool too.
Location is a bit far from the center of the village
