Despite rave reviews on TA, I was very disappointed by Angelina's café and the rude , impolite owner ( even though I speak Greek!)  To Aithrio is directly next door. The cappucino Freddo is much better . The staff is friendly. The locals come to To Aithrio  to eat and relax. We came back three times .Comfortable arm chairs with blue cushions. See my pictures. We didn't try the food ( pizzas and café style fare).The family who runs the café also rents room above the café, but it is located on the busy, noisy tavern  street. The Wifi signal is excellent.

we stayed 7 nights ,a company of 7. the rooms are spacious,in very good conditions and very clean. the staff is very friendly . Same family operates a cafe - pizzeria at ground floor with the basics in good prices and quality. It has a bus stop just in front so the connection with all the other places in the island is very easy.the only recommendation is to try to have better wifi signal

Café for relaxing and reading with a cappuccino fredo

We visited this place for food only, twice. Food ok, but prices are not ok. The owners also try to make you pay for bread buns that they place on table withough you ordering them. Milkshake prices at €6.50 were unrealistic. Lots of much better options inGalissas.

Seek better options

Tuesday evening 10th July and we visted here for dinner. As we are staying in Galissas for 2 weeks, 6th to 20th of July, it is our intention to visit each resturant for dinner before repeat visits, this restaurant will not be a repeat.

There was one guy on his own, he was seating customers, preparing tables, taking orders, serving food and taking the payments. The resturant was busy so he was running around like a headless chicken.

Once our table was sorted and the tablecloth done we ordered 2 large bottles of Mythos, €3.50 each, we started to look at the food menu.

The menu here was not very extensive, predominantly pizza and burgers in conjunction with some other dishes. There was also a Thai food menu, which caught our attention, never had Thai food in Greece so we thought let's give it a go. 

By the time our food order was taken, we had almost finished our beers.We ordered Thai red chicken curry and Thai green beef curry, both served with rice €9.50 each and another 2 beers.

While we waited for our food, bread and someone else's dinner was served to our table, the poor waiter was very confused

Maybe we should have eaten the other meals, ours was most disappointing. The beef was as tough as old boots, some of it impossible to chew and the sauce very oily, the chicken was slimy as if it was boiled, the sauce was nice.

The total cost of our meal and drinks was €33, not really worth it.

Most of the other Taverna/restaurants we visited were a bit more upmarket and worth a repeat, unlike this one.

Worst meal in Galissas, so far

SLIGHT PORTIONS WE GET WAS BELOW AVERAGE AND IN THE END THE BILL WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. THE OWNER UNCONCERNED ABOUT THE MISTAKE JUST TOOK THE BILL AND GOT IT BACK TO US WITH A MINOR ERROR SO WE HAD TO ASK FOR THE LIST TO CALCULATE IT OURSELVES. FINALLY THEY BROUGHT US THE RIGHT ONE WHICH WAS 86 EUROS LESS.
