Pension am Hauptbahnhof

This guesthouse (more like a hotel) is located in central Munich, close to the train station, and near the old city. It's a basic hotel. The good: The breakfast is probably the best part. The food is great and it's all you can eat with many choices, for both meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans. The okay: the rooms are basic, but are nice. The bad: The street facing rooms get LOUD at night. There are a few strip clubs outside that make their presence known. There are also strobe lights flashing. I have lived and traveled to many cities around the world, so am used to this, but it may be a problem for some. For our four year old daughter, she was not pleased. Overall: the hotel itself is nice, just ask for a room on the back for a quiet night sleep.
