Had a 2 night stay booked on the internet in the Hotel Krone, Friesenheim, my thoughts was this is traditional Gasthof but what a disappointment.
The room was basic but had a very wired decor  silver wallpaper and yellow carpet.
The TV Channels was either Chinese or Russian no English Channels.
Breakfast was not good at all , the fried eggs had a crust on top of it , it seemed they was done hours ago.
Coffee was out of a machine and was not good at all.
There was no traditional breads from the region at all.
After 2 nights we changed to the Hotel Ochsen which was only over the street .
What a different`s  it made, it was beautiful and clean light and fresh, breakfast superb we definitive go again.

Very very disappointed

We travel to Southern Italy every year and in the past have used an international chain in Offenburg. This year because of the ridiculous priced being quoted for room only and another 10 Euros for the car park thought to look elsewhere.

We were fortunate to find this hotel in the vicinity and were pleased with what we found. Small friendly hotel with pleasant staff, room clean and suitable for our needs and  good selection for breakfast ( include in the price). We also elected to have dinner in the restaurant, again another very enjoyable experience to be recommended.

This hotel is a real contender for using on the return trip from Italy.

Pleased with this choice

We had a very good stay at this Hotel. We stayed here for three nights. We rented three rooms with a group of six. We will definitely return to this hotel. The rooms are simple but adequate. The breakfast very ok. The price-quality relation is very good

Nice visit

We stayed here for two nights. Location was good for what we had planned in the area. The provided breakfast was quite good. The WiFi did work adequately. Hotel was clean, and the interaction with the staff was very good. Parking was right next to the hotel, although with an on site beer garden, and restaurant, the lot can fill up. Bed comfort was fine. Only issue we had, was that it was very warm for the time of year, and without A/C, it was slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, I would stay here again.
