Very nice hotel. Somewhat high Price is justified by friendly stuff and very good food. Later is outstanding. Groceries used in food are produced locally and are very healthy and tasty. As for the rooms. Rooms are OK, but somewhat small. Especially bath. There are minor faults here and there in room service but overall: very nice experience.

If you're going to the observatory, or exploring this quirky little town, this is the place to stay.  The owner is delightful and spoke basic English, as well as Georgian, Ukranian and Russian.  Clean and modern rooms, with huge, homemade meals.  They were great in arranging our visit to the observatory.  You can easily walk anywhere in town and it's definitely worth checking out the old buildings from the Czarist and Soviet days,  Very unique.  The baths are quite interesting as well!

A little gem in the middle of a Czarist/Soviet retreat!

Room are very clean and newly refurbished (a change in often worn-out hotels of Georgia). Location is perfect: just above village "center" and across from the small amusement park from which you can take a lift to the observatory, take a horseback ride or jump on trampoline. The owners are a lovely family who will attend to all your needs and if you are lucky use the fireplace to give you a taste of famous georgian supra with msvadi (barbecued meat) and homemade vodka or wine. They can organise for you any kind of trip (horse riding, moutain bike, hiking...) and speak georgian, russian and enough english to allow you to make the best of your stay in Abastumani

Cosy hotel with helpfull and welcoming owners

We stayed for a week in the Green Hotel Abastumani. This was already the second time after October 2016. We very much enjoyed the friendly service and the truly fantastic food. One must consider, that the rooms are tidy and clean, but standard good taste can't necessarily applied.
