Visited the Flourish for the second time. As last year, we found it quiet and peaceful. The suites were in good order and cleaned exceptionally well by "Buba". The breakfasts were an event and mostly lasted around an hour with our waitress "Bintu" being attentive. We are aware that the hotel is up for sale and sincerely hope that the sale goes through as it has great potential.

Quiet, clean and eaceful

We travel to Gambia every year for the last 8 years and have stayed in numerous hotels . FLOURISH Is another experience and if you want to totally chill out and have the most amazing people touch your lives then this is the place.  There have been financial issues with management and these people want to FLOURISH and see the hotel blossom again.  This will happen if tourists stay and embrace the tranquility of this hotel and the true beauty and sincere staff.  The rooms are extremely clean and have everything you need and more.  If there is something you feel you need and they have not provided they will ensure you won't go a miss and travel if need be to get what you want.  We feel blessed to have found this hotel as we were originally staying in another hotel that did not meet our needs ans as avid visitors to The Gambia we could sense the underlying vibes of unhappy staff and a very insincere English manager. 
We will most definitely stay at flourish on our next visit and send all our love to all the staff they are beautiful warm honest people x. General maintenance on exterior of rooms needs MONEY and tourists bring money.  If new management take over at his place could have the care and attention it so rightly deserves and this hotel could be the BEST in The Gambia although we loved it the way it was when we stayed as we were like Family and treated so well  Thankyou FLOURISH xxx. 'TRULY AMAZING"

I stayed for 1 week as attended a wedding nearby. 
 
Very friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms and enjoyable breakfast. 

The hotel was virtually empty with guests but I didn't mind as I got more customer care. The atmosphere was very tranquil and quiet but it is not far away from other hotels where there is more going on. 

The beach is within walking distance of the complex grounds. 

The electricity went a few times but this is expected of Gambia, they had back up lights for when this happened. Water was turned off on a daily basis but this didn't spoil our fun, it was part of The Gambia experience. 

Good and I would return 

We stayed at the hotel in March for one week and had a fantastic time.The hotel is central to pretty much everything we needed. Our suite was spotlessly clean, spacious with Wi-Fi connection and close to the pool. The whole complex has beautifully manicured gardens and lies on the beach front with access to lovely golden sands

As we like to get out and about while on holiday we only ate at the hotel the first night but it was very nice, a couple of times we had a steak or chicken Baguette for lunch which were again lovely, breakfast was omelettes, porridge, toast, fruit etc. which we found perfectly acceptable and nothing was to much trouble 

Best of all are the people of Gambia, I have rarely come across such polite, happy and  helpful people in my life, everybody wants to talk, quite a few want to sell but all done in the most friendly of ways

We ate at a few of the restaurants listed on trip advisor, Oscars just to the left of the hotel less than a minutes walk, lovely butter fish lunch cooked in foil, cold beer whilst watching the world go by on the beach was pretty good, Ningki nangka restaurant sipping cocktails watching the sun go down followed by evening meal also pretty good. Kunta kinteh just up the beach, Samba Kitchen at the end of the road and Scala's the best of all within walking distance or by taxi costing around £4 located just outside the hotel.

I am not quite sure why this hotel has negative reviews, its as good as any good Spanish or Egyptian hotel, yes the electric went off a couple of times as did the water but I feel that's all part of the African experience, if you are concerned about cup marks on a tiled floor not only are you in the wrong hotel but I would suggest the wrong continent

Perfect Location, Lovely Hotel

After a hard days work The Flourish Wellness Resort was a delight to come back to. The food was amazing, catering for all of us, vegan, vegi & chip lovers.

The rooms & facilities were top notch, the staff were very friendly & helpful, the location was perfect & the beach & pool were very relaxing. This was a great place to base ourselves during our volunteering & I would highly recommend it for a vacation destination.

There was a very safe feeling around the whole complex. It was a shame we didn't have enough time to try the Spa.
