Hotel was clean and is  well situated for the metro and a lot of nearby attractions ,plenty of restaurants within walking distance and hotel staff very friendly and helpful Hamza and Zakaria were the 2 we normally dealt with and we couldn,t fault them . For the price we would definitely recommend.

Can't say enough about Hôtel le Lion d'Or ! Location, Atmosphere, and service are top notch. All the front desk employees morning and evening shift were super nice and professional. And add personal touches that make the environment an excellent place for our stay, we have been staying there every year for past 3 years. Always with warm & pleasant service. I would definitely recommend !!!

Quiet side street. Everything about the hotel is compact. If you are looking for a great location to sleep and shower in city center, this is the place. Rooms are small by U.S. standards, but comfortable. Service is good. Stair access to all floors. Elevator is small (1 person w/2bags or 2 people no bags, comfortably, wheelchair probably not)

Great location

The hotel is in the 1st arrondissement and is within walking distance of the Louvre Museum, the Tuilleries, Palais Royal, Comedie Francaise, Place Vendome, Musee de l'Orangerie, Jeu de Pomme and the Garnier Opera, amongs others. There is also next to the Louvre the new Carousel du Louvre Shopping Mall, full of high end brand names.In addition, there are plenty of restaurants, ranging from the French Bistro type to Japanese and Indian. Finally, at the end of the street, there's a Carrefour Express. You cannot miss it because the outside there is a fruit & vegetable stall. 
The hotel has a lift and breakfast is good value at €15 per person. The staff are charming and helpful. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected, and the toiletries a bit sparse. There are two drawbacks in the room: (1) there is no fridge and (2) the shower head is not enclosed within a shower cubicle. There is only a plastic curtain  to cover the shower area,  which means that the floor of the bathroom, where the toilet is also situated, gets wet when somebody  takes a shower. As the hotel does not provide any rubber slippers, it means that either you have to walk into the room to use the toilet barefooted or put your own shoes on, which in turn creates a mess. If you carry a pair of rubber slippers or crocs with you this will not be a problem. If not, then it becomes a problem, especially if somebody takes a shower before going to bed as the floor is wet for most of the night. The wash basin is situated outside the bathroom, which is a bonus if there are two of you. Finally, if you are staying for more than a night be prepared to live out of your suitcase, especially if there are two of you, as there is a small sort of cupboard to hang some of your clothes. Our stay of four nights including breakfast and taxes worked out at £140 per night, which was reasonable for the location.

Great Location

This hotel was in an amazing location! The staff was so friendly and helpful, made great restaurant suggestions and helped us arrange airport transportation. The bathrooms are a bit on the small side, but that's typical for Paris hotels. Would definitely stay here again.

Hello! I would like to thank and praise the way the Hotel staff treated me and my family during our stay in Paris. All extremely polite and helpful in all our needs and queries. I leave special thanks to the reception staff who were always willing to assist us. Front desk employee Hannan was amazing and kind since our check in untill our checkout. We will certainly recommend your hotel to all our friends who are intending to stay in Paris.

Excellent

The hotel is located less than 5 minutes away (walking) from the Louvre Museum, you have a Carrefour express in front of the building. Cleaning off the rooms is very good and the beds are comfortable.
The only comment is that when we booked the assigned room was supposed to be in a second floor but they actually assigned the forth, so you might wanna take this into account if like us, you have a lot of luggage and there's no elevator available.
