The hotel staff were so friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and the breakfast was delicious! We requested information about boat rentals and were given excellent guidance for early season options, and enjoyed our stay immensely. The secured free parking was also a great feature!

Cozy sanctuary

This extremely quaint small hotel offered an incredible breakfast and lovely rooms in a beautiful setting.  The rooms were fairly spacious and each had its own outdoor seating area.  The grounds were beautiful and the proprietress was fantastic.  It's  a VERY steep walk up to Moustiers Ste Marie so I'd advise driving.

We spent 1 night here having driven round the Gorges du Verdon. Our host recommended a lovely local restaurant which she booked for us - Le Cantine and advised of parking. The room was delightful. We had a family room which consisted of a double bed with an adjoining room of 2 single beds. Excellent breakfast with a good selection of breads and pastries and beautiful surroundings. Cannot recommend enough. We will be back for sure.

Stunning!

A small wonderful place to stay around Moustiers St. Marie. The owner is extremely nice and was very accommodating and friendly.  The gardens are lovely and a real lovely spot to sit in after a day out sight seeing

Yes the village is short walk up a steep hill from the hotel - take your time and it will be worth it when you get there !

The website pictures are enticing but the reality is so much more.. Beautiful location a few minutes walk from the village of Moustiers, peace and quiet assured... Lovely rooms set amongst the gardens, tastefully decorated, spacious with attention to detail and a very comfortable bathroom well laid out with all the essentials to  hand... Our hostess could not have been more welcoming and helpful during our 3 night stay and it was a great way to start the day chatting with her over a good breakfast...Really felt comfortable here in every respect and would be more than happy to return. 

Peace and quiet but close to the village 

We stayed for 3 nights whilst exploring the Gorges de Verdon.

The location is excellent, centrally located. We turned left and right to visit the extraordinary attractions of the area. 

The rooms have beautiful French charm and layed out so that you feel that you are the only room on the property. Everything is high quality - even the soap! 

Alexia is a wonderful host, making us immediately feel at home. 


Perfect stay

A nicely refurbished country villa located just below the town, Le Clos des Iris is a secluded villa full of charm. Our walk into town to find a restaurant was a stiff uphill climb but it was a good way the work out the kinks after spending a few hours in the car. A friendly host, a little sitting area outside our room, and a nice continental breakfast the next morning made for a very nice stay.

Charming stay at Le Clos des Iris

We hadn't intended staying in Moustieres after exploring the Gorges of Verdon, and we made the decision only on the morning of travel.
We are so glad we did because the town is stunning and this place to stay is charming in so many ways.
A very warm welcome from our hostess was a good start.
Our room was in the basement - which sounds terrible but it was lovely.
Large french doors looked out into the garden through a canopy of vines, past our own little iron table and chairs.
The bedroom/living was large but still slightly challenging to find space to lay and open two large suitcases. It did have a very large wardrobe at the end but staying one night doesn't really encourage a full unpack.
The bed was large enough for us, I am 196cm tall. And the place is so quiet we slept very well indeed.
The bathroom is a generous size too, with an open shower that had great water pressure and temperature.
Breakfast could have been taken on the patio upstairs but a slightly chill wind drove us inside instead.
A lovely breakfast so well served by our charming hostess.
Good parking on premise.
A solid uphill walk to the centre of the village, and of course an easy downhill walk home.
A delightful stay in a truly magnificent region.
Go explore the Gorges of Verdon, and stay at Le Clos des Iris - you won't regret a moment of it.

Charming

We booked a room in this lovely B&B over the phone on our way to Moustiers Sainte Marie. We informed the staff that we are arriving late at night so we agreed where we can collect a key from our room.
Our room was cozy, the bathroom was spacious. We enjoyed having a breakfast outside.
The most important for us was that the hotel accept dogs! 
Not to forget that the hotel offers free parking. 


Pet friendly B&В

This is a great little property down the hill from Moustier Ste Marie; The setting is inviting and warm; we stayed in the "Lavender" room, which was a little cottage down a few steps from the main building.  It was a charming little (emphasis on little) room with a small bathroom and shower (no shower curtain).  There's no a/c, but in the evening it cools off. It was really hot the day we were there, but even then it was fine.  There's a nice terrace for breakfast (6 eur for small-- croissant and baguette + coffee and juice, or 12 eur for the large, with cheese and more baked goods). There were nice sun chairs just for relaxing, and the town is about a quarter mile up the hill. Depending on how fit you're feeling, you can walk or drive (beware, it's quite steep).  There are a few little restaurants in town.  The Lac St Croix is also a few minutes drive away, where you can swim it azure blue waters, or go paddleboating or canoeing.
