La Maison de Gisèle

From the street view this residence shows just a doorway, but from the moment you step inside, it is full of surprises. We were warmly welcomed by our hostess, Gisele, and guided to our large bedroom, with a little balcony over the street. A delightful room. Later we discovered a huge, colourful garden behind the house, which we were able to use for our picnic dinners, surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees and the sounds of birds. Giselle's cat often joined us. Gisele's homemade breads and jams were a treat for breakfast, and the French conversations that we shared with Gisele and her husband and other guests around a large communal table, did wonders for our confidence in trying to learn French. Moulins is a working French town, which we really loved to visit and the city centre is easy walking distance from this accommodation.Highly recommended.
