La Rebière d'Or

My stay at La Rebiere d’Or was simply perfect. As others have described, the home is stunning and decorated in a grandiose, flamboyant style that filters all the way through the guest bedrooms and bathrooms. The attention to detail made me think I was staying in the family’s private quarters (as opposed to a let room) - there seemed to be no difference in the decadent aesthetic from the private bedrooms to the more public areas. And speaking of public areas, the grounds include a beautiful pool area, terraces and picnic areas, all overlooking the Dordogne River. Breakfast was also delightful, and served in grand style with silver service, ornate tea pots, fresh flowers and of course fresh pastries from the boulangerie!
