We spent 3 nights here at this small beautiful hotels. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Very well located, peaceful and very zen. The hotel is spotless and the breakfast is wonderful. It is located about 1.5 KM's from the beach which is miles long. It's also close to lots of restaurants. Staff are very nice and always helpful.

Fabulous

After staying there for a few days we only asked ourselves why it has not more stars. It is an oasis of calm and friendliness. One can almost breath the tradition of the hotel as a colony de vacances, but it smells rather well. It has a very nice piscine and a rather nice entrance. The rooms are spacy and well decorated. The breakfast is rather attractive and the service is pretty friendly.

A treasure

This is a great hotel as most reviews describe, the rooms, the pool, the staff, all really nice. It's clean and very well managed also. We were a bit concerned about not having air conditioning in the room, but the cool nightly seabreeze took care of that. 
La Maison de la Prade really stands out in Messanges and the area around it. Actually you may argue that maybe it's too good for Messanges. The town is rather basic and does not have a lot of charm. If you go here please bring a car and/or bikes to explore the area. Or just stay at La Maison and enjoy this great place.

A special hotel in a not so special place

I wrote many reviews over years of globe trotting. It is always a pleasure to share nice discoveries but, In this case, it is different. I hesitate as I would wish to keep it secret.

The house of the Prade is an old Art Deco vacation house for youngsters of the country side. Totally renovated but keeping the simplicity of the former days, it offers PEACE and Comfort.

Sylvie and Frank’s attentions, the Oak trees , the Pine trees, the Laurels, the cigales and all these birds singing the reviving  weather, within this refreshing breeze from the Ocean, everything  brings you peace, comfort and a reshaping fresh breath of nature.

For the active ones, within minutes, you can golf (Frank is a Pro-coach), bike, hike, swim, surf and much more. The beaches are unbelievable !
For the resting ones, you can relax along the  pool, float within the parfumes of the Landes, read, paint, visit...(but do not come to watch TV or stay wired.)
For both, if you are a gourmet, the restaurants around offer quality, originality and even few famous stars, all turning the very rich food of the Landes into magic.

In summary best place to disconnect from the Buzz, and connect to Paradise.

 A place to keep Secret.

This a beautiful hidden gem in Messages. The room was very comfortable. I was the only person during my 3 day stay (pre-beach season), so it was very quiet. The staff was delightful and the breakfast (additional cost) was amazing. It was a short walk to eateries and a short drive to the beach. 

Fabulous hide-a-way

This brand new establishment was renovated from an old children's camp. The rooms and grounds are modern and impeccable, the welcome warm. Messages is 40 minutes away from Biarritz, 20 from Hossegor and perfect nature setting. All accessible from this lovely place where you can vacation in calm.

Beautiful scenery and location

We very much enjoyed staying at the Maison de la Prade - a real lucky find. Maison de la Prade is a faboulous, immaculate and tasteful accomodation - absolutely superb.
The owner is a lovely lady - very obliging and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. The hotel and the rooms are very clean.
We will definitely come back!

An oasis of peace and serenity

Really charming 3 star hotel. 
Rooms aren't huge but nicely done, very friendly staff, good quality continental breakfast and a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. Lovely pool area too. We visited in June so it was quiet and the weather was pretty good. A 2 minute walk from the village which is small but with a good bar for food.
