The hotel is in a lovely, picturesque, peaceful location. You can sit outside by the stream and watch the ducks and damselflies. The building itself, an old watermill still with water wheel, is characterful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was optional (paid extra) for our stay - it is a simple French style breakfast - again you can sit outside on the terrace by the stream. The owners are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the prehistoric art sites of the Vezere valley: Lascaux, Font de Gaume, Combarelles, Cap Blanc and Rouffignac are all within 20 minutes drive. The hotel is in the heart of Les Eyzies village, only a couple of minutes walk from the superb Museum of Prehistory and several nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

Lovely characterful hotel in a great location

Very nice hotel. We like it as we have stayed here before. The only disappointment we can find is that they don’t tell you until you have arrived that the restaurant is no longer open.  It used to be very good.

Beautjful setting in an old mill with a working water wheel. The food in the rextaurant was delicious. Top notch restaurant. The starters to the dessert were excellent. Very relaxing to sit by the creek.

This pretty mill, allthough set in the middle of the town, is set down below the road under an arched bridge that drips with hanging ivy.  When you are in the garden you wouldn't know that the town is there as you sit and listen to the trickling water as it lazily passes over the wooden wheel. 
They accept animals in the ground floor rooms that are simple, with terracotta tiled floor and white decor. Another great advantage is that these rooms have an independent door to outside without having to pass through the main lobby.
The staff were very kind and the Russian lady went out of her way to be helpful.

Sadly there is no way of making your own tea /coffee in the bedroom and I regretted asking for a cup of tea (1 teabag and a pot of hot water) as it cost me €4.55! 

We didn't eat in the restaurant whilst there, though we did have breakfast on both of the two days which is served in the mill room of the restaurant.  It was fine though nothing to write home about.  I was a little disappointed as it was quite ordinary ... some bread and jam, some wet, pink rolled ham and slices of emmenthal or goats cheese and some plain yoghurts or compote. Big machine that made coffee, chocolate etc. A bit too standard and something you might find in a Formula 1.  I must say that the croissants were very good though!
I hope they may up their game on this front, but otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.  They do have parking in front of the hotel and another spot for the restaurant if in front of the hotel is full.

Beautiful old watermill

Beautiful location near a stream and surrounded by nature. The staff was really nice and professional. The experience was magical and the rooms are really clean. Breakfast was also suitable for people who are celiac, you just need to ask in advance.

A Dreaming Experience 

The parking lot entrance is on the opposite side of the road, which is not obvious. Avoid driving down the front entrance as it is challenging to get back out. But if you correctly turn into the driveway on the opposite side of the road, access is very nice. While it was a hot day, the room cooled off nicely with both windows open. Very much enjoyed our stay and recommend it. We sat out on the lawn by steam and fed the ducks.  Very walkable to the town center. I thought it would be more of a walk based upon what others report, but you are basically in the heart of town.

I really enjoy my stay here. The setting is amazing, just far off the Main Street but still in a quiet place. The owner is lovely and really helpful, it is kind of family run as the son was helping there as well.

Nothing to complain about the room. We had planned to visit the caves nearby but they were closed unfortunately, so we went to Roussignac instead and really enjoy those, it’s just 20 mins away. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely place

We went to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac to see the ancient cave art. The Moulin de la Beune was a great place to stay. It was right on the scenic main street, but tucked into the side of the rock wall, with water running by both stream and mill, so it was much cooler there. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good, it was a great option. 

Cool place in hot summer

The bedroom was very small, ditto the bed, the bathroom also very small and in need of up-gradingBreakfast was totally "do it yourself" and in a depressing roomThe staff were rather impersonal - supper was quite good, but very slow service
