A gem on all level. Superb service, professional team, outstanding fruits de mer, great view, reasonable price, cosy restaurant. Will be back.  Will never forget either that experience. Well worth walking around the cap and then planning a lunch. Must book.

So superb should not tell you

This is a Logis 3 star place but I feel the rating is for the restaurant which I have reviewed separately. The rooms are all quite small apart from no 11 which has a double and 2 singles. The 'grand lit' mentioned in the web description is actually just a standard 150cm bed so be aware, it's not kingsize as we had hoped. Hotel is clean, but staff are a bit offhand but not impolite. There are 3 floors and no lift  and only the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with difficulty so please note if you have trouble in this area.
The breakfast is very nice with fresh produce and makes the cost of B&B about €100 per night for two, so not bad.

Great location but a bit tired.

Room was comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. In the bathroom it had a rather spacious shower which was also adjustable in height for taller people ;)
Most of the staff speaks English, but it helps if you specifically ask for them to speak it, otherwise they'll continue speaking in French. 
The bed was somewhat on the small side, I think about 1.40 meters in width instead of 1.60 meters. 
We were woken up a few times during our stay because of people making noise outside (loud music in their car around 2 am in the morning). However, when you closed the window it wasn't really a bother. 
Breakfast was lovely with enough choice, located in the excellent restaurant. Truly, the food in the restaurant was the best I have eaten in a restaurant in years.

Good hotel with excellent restaurant

5 of us were found a nice table despite arriving rather late last week in very popular restaurant .It  is a 3chimney/3* listed in LOGIS book-which have used for many years-very reliable set-up and up to French national standards .Never  had a dud meal either.
All chose one of the 3 course set meals and went down very well .Earlier  in day we did ask the local lady in marina where to go out for a meal and straightaway said this place.
Of course aim for one of the fish dishes-sauces/flavours were amazing ;And  more to the point were at reasonable prices. Washed down with an excellent bottle of local cider plus good bottle of white wine.
Restaurant looked out to sea and coastline.
Staff were very good and attentive-and spoke enough English!!.-which always very useful and a good sign.

well worth walking furthest building on harbour road

We stayed here for two nights last month. The bed was the comfiest we have had in any other hotel we have stayed in. The room was clean and airy. We had a lovely view over the beach. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner with a tasty seafood platter and rack of lamb,good wine and delicious cheeses, great value. Overall, we had a lovely stay, Carteret is a picturesque town with nice shops and helpful shopkeepers and would definitely come back to stay in this hotel. 1st class!!

Great Hotel

I really liked my stay at Hotel Le Cap last month, very nice and helpful stuff although very few people of them speaks English. The room their is very nice and clean, if i go back there to Barneville, i will definitely be in that hotel.
