The hosts are a very nice, friendly and helpful couple. Always ready to explain where to go for tourism, restaurants, visits…
The hotel is clean and tidy, within walking distance from the large Barneville beach. It is a nice two stars hotel. Having taken the junior suite We were just a bit surprised to have a 140cm bed and not atleast 160cm.

Clean tidy and friendly

Follow the signposts for Barneville, not Barneville-Carteret. A modern hotel situated within easy walking distance to the beach. Providing you have reasonable neighbours you can be assured of a good night's rest. My room was well appointed with good facilities. Breakfast is reasonably priced and as much to drink as you want.The owners are most welcoming, helpful and offer service beyond the usual. They even allow you to speak French! For dinner you'll need to drive into Barneville village, out of season at least, or to Carteret where there is a large choice of restaurants. A good location from which to visit the region.

Ideal modern hotel.

A small modern French hotel, where everything worked, spotlessly clean, charming cheerful proprietors. The rooms were comfortable and blissfully quiet. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Well located in an interesting part of the Cherbourg Peninsula, for beaches and countryside, walking and sightseeing.

Comfortable, Cheerful, Quiet

Ideal location to stay either arriving in France or before taking ferry from Cherbourg. The couple who own and run the hotel are delightful and welcoming and do everything to make their guests feel welcome. The whole hotel is spotless. Breakfast is good but basic, bread, ham, cheese, orange juice, yoghurt, mini croissants and a couple of other pastries and good coffee. The only minor point, shower attachment in our room had no wall fixing and so just suitable for hair wash which was OK for one night. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

Spotless little gem

If you want to experience a really charming gallic welcome in a spotless and comfortable environment then look no further than Hotel Jersey. From the moment we arrived every effort was made  to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The stand out for us was the service. Always charming, always polite, always smiling. We even got a little bag of tasty treats for our journey when we left. If you need to stay in the area and don't book in at the Hotel Jersey you will miss out on what France does best of all - hospitality.

Excellent accomodation with very gracious hosts

This hotel, located very close to the beach, provided an excellent budget-hotel experience.  The room was relatively small but organized efficiently and very clean, and the owners did show us an alternate room with more space if we wished to change rooms.  We were there for one night only and opted to retain the smaller room.  The owners are gracious, friendly, and very personable. They provided excellent service and suggestions.  We had already had a restaurant recommended and the owner called to make a reservation for us and provided us with directions.  The breakfast included many options, including wonderful pastries (croissants and other breads), ham, cheese, yoghurt, jams, and “bottomless” coffee or tea.  We would stay here again if returning to Barneville-Carteret in the future!

Great location and excellent value!

Our room was very clean, large  and light with two large windows.  The bathroom had 2 washbasins and the toilet was separate, which we like. The breakfast was excellent and extremely good value for money, the buffet continually being topped up. There was free parking and we could see our hire car from our bedroom windows. Wifi connection was good. This hotel is worth more than the 2 stars it has. We wish this hard working couple good luck.

The couple who owned and ran the hotel were both delightful, extremely helpful and very friendly.

Very clean, modern yet simple little hotel near the beach. Really helpful and friendly staff. Reception gave us great tips where to go to enjoy some local delicacies. Will refer to friends.
Told us where to eat and what to order. We had already eaten at exactly the restaurant he recommended. Dinner was good. 
Room was not too big but had all the amenities we needed. Bathroom was new and overall a very quiet hotel in a quiet location. Slept well.
