Rented a 2 bed mobile home.  Not new but well renovated and spotlessly clean.  The double room was very small.
The receptionists were pleasant and efficient.  The pool and pool area were also spotless.  We had a 10 year old boy with us who enjoyed the water park and the evening entertainement.  For a camp site we rated the leisure team excellent with lots of activities for both parents and children.
WIFI was good but expensive.
The campsite restaurant was excellent.  Good food, pleasant service

Visited in April and pleasantly surprised

Staying in one of the premium resort cottages offered a relaxing 4day stay at camping mer et soleil. We received a very nice welcome at the reception and were kindly guided to our cottage. 

The house was very clean (looked renovated recently), fully equipped and included airconditioning (which was installed in the living room but flowing through to the bedrooms a bit). Swimmingpool with slides is well maintained although not the newest installation, although a bit annoying the poolbar closes between 12 and 16h.

Location close to the beach, although still a 15min walk. A large superMarket in 5min drive.

Unfortunately because we stayed there during september (end of season) the neighbouring activities like adventure and water parks had already closed.

Quite relaxation

Very quiet for the start of the summer and i heard people going on about the entertainment going on til 1am. Very, very quiet and i never picked up on these loud parties. We never felt involved or offered children activities.  The Dutch/Belgian people working at the reception seemed very busy all the time.  The chalet was ok. Nice area and supermarkets around the corner. 

It was pretty cheap though.

Dead in the month of June

We only stayed one night here. We booked it as a stop off on the way to another Yelloh site. We have stayed with Yelloh lots of time so we were pretty confident in booking it.

However, we really did not enjoy our time here at all. The pitches are so small it's difficult to have your car and caravan on the pitch together, there would be no room for an awning. The pitch is covered in loose dusty dirt, so everything you have is quickly also covered. That mixed with water in the showers and toilets makes for everything being muddy and feeling dirty. Even though I'm actually fact the showers were clean. 

It took us a while to get the caravan in , but it took 45 minutes and people from 3 other pitches to get it out, as their is no room between pitches to get the caravan out without going across into the pitch of others. Also electricity and water shared between three pitches but you have to go onto someone else pitches to get it so kind of have to get permission from them every time. 

The bar and pool area were busy when we arrived and there was Karaoke. However I have no idea whether it was from the site itself or nearby but the music was still blaring bass dance music until 4am. The caravan did not block this out at all. We and the kids didn't sleep. 

The staff were friendly however, and the kids enjoyed the pool area, although as said before there is no real
Monitoring so it is abit of a free for all.

Yelloh sites have never let us down before but we were so so glad we were only here for one night. 

Very brief over night stay

I want to preface this review by saying that this is not a comment on the staff. This was our first time at a yelloh village and they couldn't have been nicer. They work very hard, are polite and keep the facilities clean on a daily basis. 

This review is also not based on any of our neighbours. We visited in Aug '16 with a 3 and 6 year old. I fully expected it to be busy and for there to be a certain level of noise. The people around us were also friendly and courteous. 

I'm giving this place 2 stars because for seven nights a week yelloh village plays Eurotrash dance music at an obnoxiously loud volume into the wee hours of the night. 

These events are advertised as starting at 9:30 pm, however they typically begin around 10:00 pm and last until 1:00 am or later. 

Our hired tent was, most nights, shaking from the level of bass music and we were relatively far away from the entertainment area. 

Our children were kept awake and it seriously disrupted our holiday. I honestly don't know how people staying near the entertainment area lasted more than one night. 

I don't care that they have these events, I do care that every single person who pays to stay at this camp are subjected to this music wether they want to or not. We made two complaints at reception which went unheeded. I didn't expect anything to be done about it, this is a business model they've adopted and are clearly happy with it. 

In the end we cut out holiday short by three days because there's only so many days in a row you can tolerate being kept awake all night. We will be submitting a formal complaint to the company and expect a refund for the three days lost.

Lesson learned. Do not visit this place if you value sleep or have young children.
