I did not choose this hotel I had one rated very good by Trip Advisor in mind, my new business associate in El Salvador picked it out for me saying it was close to him and he was familiar with it.

GOOD - Very Clean, 200 yards from large modern commercial mall. Made to order breakfast and juice very good (but the coffee poor), Staff nice. AC worked ok, bed was fair at best. Relatively safe area of El Salvador. But, It had been 6 years since I had been in El Salvador it used to be what I considered safe for Latin America, but NO more, everyone says how dangerous the country is due to the gangs (maras) everywhere and the government and police, courts inept !  I could tell the population was not at ease, sort of like Venezuela.

Not Up To Standards - This is really more like a "hostel". It is an older large home made into guest rooms. To say the facilities are limited and rustic, would be a proper term. The room was barely furnished and Spartan. NO in-room safe and the hotel safe is Not safe to put your money or documents.TV in room was CRT about 20 years old and an off brand. Tiny sink in bathroom only had cold water faucet. Shower was decent size had cold and hot water, but the Hot Water in the Shower does not work at night. Also limited towels, had hand and bath but no foot towel for the floor.

Final Conclusion - Would I stay here again, ummm yes, but it would not be my first, second or third option. Only reason rated average is because it was really clean everywhere. For someone on a limited budget it is a good option. But for $12.oo a night more you can stay at the MARELA Hotel which is really nice and modern and underpriced, where I will stay next trip.

CLEAN, BUT For Those On a Limited Budget

I stay for 3 days,clean,quiet and great service..Everiting is close to this hotel,malls,night life,nice restaurants and great service of taxis.I recommended this small hotel, I will stay with them againg.

Perfect pitstop hotel in San Salvador. Simple basic clean. Excellent location next to the mall and not too far to walk for nice restaurants (Approx 15 mins).Fast efficient and reasonably priced laundry service ($10 for large bag returned washed and dried in 2 hours + stains removed from white clothing!). Friendly helpful staff. A couple of little courtyards to sit in. Nothing fancy but everything you could need. Fairly priced for San Salvador where there aren't many really cheap options.

Perfect pitstop in San Salvador

This small hotel has the best location. It is close to a large mall (Galerías) where you can spend your free time, buy cheap fast food, catch a movie or go shopping. Also, they are less than a block away from a gas station that has a 24/7 store that sells liquor and food for those midnight cravings and a supermarket if you want to buy some food supplies. Salvador del Mundo, a historical landmark, is just a few blocks away. There you will also find most of the bus routes that can transport you anywhere if you are travelling on a tight budget. If you can afford it, from the Hotel you can call a taxi or just walk to Galerías and get a cheap but safe taxi service too. There are many bars and restaurants around the area of the Hotel where you can enjoy a good meal. 

The rooms are really clean. The beds are comfortable and the have AC (which comes in handy in San Salvador) as well as a TV with cable. 

The hotel staff is small but really friendly and helpful. There is also an in-house doctor who is really handy to have in case of an Emergency. The restaurant serves really good and tasty food, although they don´t have a 24/7 food service since it is a small family-run hotel. I really recommend this place.

Great location and excellent rest

I recomend this cozy hotel to anyone who's visiting San Salvador, excellent service and close to shopping centers, and pretty much to everything else. I felt like home, and that says a lot.
