The hotel was cozy and home like atmosphere.the owner was very welcoming,generous and very helpfulRoom was clean and tidy.breakfast delicious .neigbourhood is safe

Very basic, but nice clean and tidy rooms and bathrooms. maby not the newest but was more than enuff for our needs.
peaceful and quiet do to location. Not too far from all the attractions of Luxor. help offered by the owner and his managing son was great and the warmth they took us on was simply a trip to old times when people were nice to each other. Very much recommended for backpackers and budget tourists. and anyone that would like to find a peacefull retread after a long day in the desert!!!!

Superb expirence!!!

A nice small hotel with a stunning view from the roof terrace. It was my second visit to this hotel in Luxor together with friends, and we all enjoyed the stay. Perfect situated, perfect service, perfect food with lots of fresh vegetables and fruit and perfect price. We stayed for one week and were taken good care of like we were family members. The hotel staff fixed everything we needed, transportation, guidance to the temples, to the valley of kings and genuine alabaster and papyrus shops with very nice prices. I will be Happy to return here again for another visit.

The perfect hotel for small groups, families or solo

I stayed a week at the el phardouse hotel in the end of April 2013. I was well taken care of by the man running the hotel and his two sons. There was also an assistant making breakfast and cleaning the room every day. The breakfast was Egyptian and had the main things that is needed to get the day started. The taxi driver that the hotel uses give a very good deal to get to different sites on the west bank. It's only like 10 E£ to get from the hotel to a sight or to the ferry. Because of the good taxi service staying at the west bank is not a bad idea if you want a quiet place. The roof terrace is excellent also. I was very happy with my stay.

Good service

Simple backpacker style hotel situated in New Qurna on the West Bank, about 10 min by taxi from the ferry stop. Nice and very clean but simple rooms. Nice warm showers, but sometimes a too low water pressure (I was on the 2 floor). A big plus is the hotel taxi driver, who takes you anywhere on the West Bank without hassle or haggling for 10 LE. You can even sms him from any location during the day, and he will come and get you for the same price, f.ex to go from Valley of the Kings to the ferry. The other big plus is the fantastic roof terrace, where you can relax in the sun or shade (bamboo roof). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and nearby there are some small shops selling fruit and biscuits. Traffic noise is minimal, so you are almost guaranteed a good night’s sleep – except for two apparently competing mosques yelling out their long and loud prayers every morning at 6 AM, but I expect this will be the same everywhere in Luxor. Your sleep may also be helped by the fact that there are very few other guests – which isn’t though necessarily just an advantage in such a solitary location (but so be it).

Negatives: The area is completely dead both day and night, with no place to eat or drink except for the hotel restaurant. Even there you have to order in advance the same morning (so they can ask the chef to come), which is really annoying since the location means it takes time to come back, so you will probably end up eating in town to not have to plan ahead. In addition you can have no alcohol, not even a beer, and the food is bland and strictly vegetarian. I really don’t mind vegetables, on the contrary, but we seriously had much more interesting vegetarian dishes at The Tuthankamon rooftop restaurant by the ferry stop. The breakfast is also boring: Local bread, processed cheese, hard boiled eggs, herbal tea bags, and falafels astonishingly drenched in oil. There were not even fruit, which I would have expected from a vegetarian place. All this may become better in the future, though, as the hotel management is presently building a kind of alternative resort or ashram just across the street, with a big restaurant area, swimming pool and even a small meditation pagoda.

All in all I had a nice stay at the Phardouse Home, but the next time I would probably rather try one of the hotels in the backpacker area behind the temple Medinat Habu (which are in a walking distance to both the ticket office of the West Bank, where you buy tickets to all the sights except for The Valleys of the Kings and Queens – and most of the sights, including the magnificent Tombs of the Nobles, and from where you can take a regular public minibus to the ferry for just 2,5 LE per person). But then again, I might have missed the Phardouse roof terrace.

Quiet, off track, superb roof terrace

El phardouse home is situated in the middle of nowhere, near Kings Walley.
 About 8 km from the ferry.
 You can take a "Taxi" for about 15 LE
Very rustic room with absolutely no comfort.. A bathroom with bathtube, a bed, a table at the bed, another table and a small closet, Thats all.
Breakfast was poorly and the timeyou want to eat had to be ordered in the evening.
 About dinnig there. It was the most expensive dinner I had in Luxor and even without meat.
No aircondition. But there was a wind from broken glass in the door. 
Nice balkony. The best was the rooftop. You can see the dessert and Kings Walley and to the other side you can see almost to the Nile. 
The staff was friendly. And there are only very few guests. 
All in all, a very different experience from normal egypt hotels.

Not realy a hotel

No comfort. Small romms with absolutly nothing but a bed ond a small closet.. The best is the rooftop.
