If you’ve stayed in a hostel you should have certain expectations, this hostel exceeds what is typical.  The beds fantastic, not a squeak to be heard or a spring to be felt.  The orientation of the hostel is very unique with small staircases running everywhere to private little areas shared by only a few rooms creating a private experience for you to make what you’d like of it.  For breakfast just put in your order the night before and it appears in the morning warm and delicious.  Claus, one of the owners, made an effort to be available every morning to give us tips and ideas of places to see, he helped is book tours in the jungle hikes to volcanoes.  All in all the hostel really speaks to the traveler who wants it all.  I could go on but really this is a place you should experience for yourself.  5stars all day.

The dorms were in excellent condition and the staff was most friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay

No complaints about the good-sized room and extremely helpful staff. However, the “Claus” room is located next to an indoor terrace where people are allowed to smoke, and the smoke gets into the room even when the doors are closed. This is not much of a problem during the day - it’s easy enough to air out the room after the smokers have left - but if certain kids staying at the hostel are so inconsiderate as to go for a smoke at midnight or even 2 am, this becomes very annoying.
