I would avoid this place.  Not only was out room filled with bugs and one of our friends room flooded during a rain storm (not us thank god) when I got up in the morning they were sitting in the cool lobby and when I asked if I could sit in there to get out of the heat and bugs (my wife was still sleeping after we cleared bugs for an hour in the evening ) I was told no not for 45 minutes sit in the heat.  That was 15 minutes ago and now I am being rained in.   At least not hot still lol

I would stay away for sure as now I am getting soaked as I wait.   You will be treated the same way if you dare to stay in this hotel

BEWARE.  Loads of nice hotels here.   Choose wisely.

Left in the dark and rain with lightening alerts and lobby door open and clerk in air conditioning and in the light.

Room very basic and old. The view from window was a wall. The breakfast was served to you you couldn't choose your own and on the last night there was a party from other guests at the hotel which went on till 6am. Another guest threw water over them but they didn't care. Receptionist nice but stated party people were bosses family so nothing he could do or say. Definitely do not recommend hotel the hostels looked much nicer

Don't go

If you don't like hospetality, book this hotel.  The first room we got had no windows.
The staff is not very helpfull. The bed is ok.
The shower is good to get burned.
Breakfast is very poor and every day the same, although the fruit is good.
When you wanna have a drink you must pay it immediately, although we had to stay another couple of nights.

This hotel/hostel is clean, very convenient for the main street, port.   Staff were helpful.   It was very quiet when we were there.   If you want a  place that's clean, very comfortable beds within a 5 minute walk of activity, harbour/main street this is it.

Very convenient, clean hotel

No WiFi.  They say that have it.. but it doesn't work.
They give you a plate of food for breakfast and watered down juice. Most of my group got so sick from eating the breakfast that it ruined the rest of our trip and we were all very sick for a week after.
Staff is unfriendly.
Walls are super thin, you can hear everything that is going on in the building.
Rooms are no frills, super budget, safes dont work.
Some rooms have refrigerators others do not.

Terrible Hotel and food made us very very sick

Three nights on a G Adventure tour and very pleased. Be careful of step up into bathroom and need to keep bathroom door closed when running AC. Walking distance to downtown. Yes, the pool is lovely for soaking, not swimming laps. Be aware there is NO elevator. Rooms are spacious and have cable TV with lots of channels (in Spanish -- only one in English), frig and AC. Some of group complained about outside neighbor noise up until 10 PM but our two rooms were quite serene. Always disappointed when posters compare experiences to the country where they live instead of the country they are visiting. Good choice for Galapagos.

Delightful choice

I stayed here while on a tour to the Galapagos. I did not choose this hotel, and I paid extra to have a single room. I did not know what to expect from accommodations on the islands, and I was not thrilled by the lodging. The hotel advertises a pool, but it is more like a baby pool. There are no phones in the rooms (at least there was not one in my single room), which was concerning in the event of an emergency. The staff were not very helpful, although I realize this may have been due in part to the language barrier. I had naively assumed that more people would speak English, and in actuality, very, very few people are able to communicate in English. Before I return to the Galapagos, I intend to strengthen my Spanish skills.


Scary, very few amenities, unsafe 

We booked a triple room and ended up in a lovely, spacious, comfortable room on the third floor with an excellent balcony patio just outside our door where we could relax at the end of the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry service was quick and inexpensive. 
We’d definitely stay here again. 

We enjoyed our stay

A first class hotel with helpful staff excellent surroundings with abundant wildlife and excellent cuisine. As far as staff were concerned Oscar stood out as someone for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Superb views from the balcony rooms

We checked in and got our keys. There is no such thing as elevator in these types of hotel. But the staff is always quick to assist with the luggage. The rooms are not of the same size. For example, there are rooms on the second floor (really third floor but they have 200 room numbers) where they have open area with tables and chairs and lots of plants. It is a nice place to rest and catch the rays. Then there are other rooms that are just that, room across the hall. There is a swimming pool in front to hang out along with tables and nice large beach umbrellas.
